|Meen Molee with Rice|
Meen Molee is one of the typical keralan dish..not spicy at all..very mild ,succulent Dish..Extremely easy to cook.I usually don’t cook fish a lot.. I watched a show in TLC last week,I think it is Planet food,in that Top chef’s host Padma Lakshmi made this dish..So I thought of making it one day and last week I made it….yipeee….And do you know,I spend my last weekend completely doing cooking cooking and cooking.Altogether I made 7 dishes.YES… 7 new dishes.. I will update all that soon …Hope you all Give it a go and let me know what you think…
Fish-10 pieces(preferably boneless)
Onion-1 sliced thinly
Green chilli-3 slited
Ginger-1 inch piece sliced
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Coriander leaves-for garnishing
Thin coconut milk-2 cup
Thick coconut milk-1 cup
Coconut oil-2 tblspn
Salt to taste
Marinate the fish pieces in Salt and Tumeric and set aside.
In a earthern pot or a normal kadai heat a tblspn of oil,Add onion,Green chilli,Ginger,garlic,curryleaves and saute for about 3 min.
Add in the thin coconut milk and season with salt and sugar.Let it come to a boil.
After it boils,add in the fish pieces and cover the pot and let it cook till the fish is tender.
Add in the tomatoes and let it cook for 2 min.
Now add in the thick extract of coconut milk, bring back to boil once and Switch off the flame.
Add a tblspn of coconut oil and Cover the pot for 5 more min.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and Serve Hot with Steamed Rice.

|Cook onions,curry leaves,chilli,ginger,garlic in oil..
Add in second coconut milk and fish pieces…
When the fish is cooked add in
tomatoes and first coconut milk..
let it boil once and garnish with coriander leaves
