Hope everyone had a great weekend…Sorry I was unable to post yesterday(yes…. a little busy).And I want to share a couple of photos with you…One of my friend named Shabi tried few dishes from my blog for Easter..She emailed me those photos,She made Chilli Chicken and fake KFC chicken ..She told that it came so good..how Sweet is that..If you want to check the original recipe click here and here.
Dosa and idlis are a staple of southindian meal.They are a lifesaver when you have no time to make anything.They are served with chutney or sambar..But this dosa is a special one,they have a spicy masala inside them,so they don’t need any side dish with them.A small variations of this dish is called as Mysore Masala Dosa,I will post that dish tomorrow..
Potato-3 boiled and mashed
Green chilli-3 slitted
Ginger garlic paste-1 tblspn
Curry leaves-1 spring
Turmeric powder-1 tsp
Salt to taste
Mustard Seeds(kaduku)-1 tsp
Cumin seeds(jeerakam)-1 tsp
Channa dal(kadala parupu)-1 tblpsn
Urad dal(ulunda parupu)-1 tblpsn
Asafoetida(kaya podi)-a pinch
In a kadai add oil and all the ingrediants given for the tempering and fry for 2 min.
Add onion,green chilli and saute for 3 min.Then throw in the salt and turmeric powder and mix well.
Add a splash of water and give a mix.now add in the potatoes and mix well.Set this masala aside.
Now for the dosa,take the dosa batter(check this for recipe) and pour it in a heated tawa.Drizzle some oil over the dosa and smear it with a flat spoon.Put a huge dollop of the prepared masala and fold it in half.
Serve it with some spicy chutney.

|add in channa dal and urad dal...Add a pinch of asafoetida...|
|add in curry leaves|
|onion and green chillies|
|saute till translucent|
|add in turmeric and salt|
|pour a splash of water|
|add in mashed potatoes|
