Coconut Honey Fudge Cake / Coconut Honey Pudding

Honey Cake
I want to try this cake for so long.This cake is drenched in a honey syrup which was mouth watering...you could add any nuts as you wish..Try this and let me know how it came.


Flour-200 gm / 1 1/2 cup + 2 tblspn
Powdered Sugar-100 gm / 1/2 cup
Honey-50 ml / 1/4 cup / 2 fluid ounces
Desiccated Coconut- 50 gm / 1/3 cup
Almonds- 3 tblspn chopped
Oil - ¾ cup / 180 ml
Vanilla essence-1 tsp
Baking powder-1 tsp

For Syrup:

Sugar-1 tblpsn
Honey-50 ml / 1/4 cup / 2 fluid ounces
Vanilla essence-1 tsp
Water-30 ml


Preheat the oven to 180°C(360°F).Butter the tin generously and dust it with flour on all sides.Set this aside for a moment.

In a mixing bowl,beat together eggs,sugar,vanilla till light and fluffy.

Add oil,honey in this and beat again.Throw in desiccated coconut and mix well.

Sift in flour with baking powder in this mixture and fold gently till combined.

Pour this in the prepared tin.Throw some almonds in the top and bake for 30-40 min.

After that take the tin out of the oven and put some desiccated coconut over the top and bake it again for 5 min or till the top gets golden.Take it out of the oven and let it cool.

Mix honey with sugar,vanilla,water till combined and drizzle this over the top.

Let this cool completely..Slice and serve..


Ingrediants for cake

Beat eggs with sugar and vanilla

add in oil

then honey

throw in desiccated coconut

Sift in flour and baking powder

fold gently

Tip this in tin and stud with almonds,Bake it...Sprinkle some coconut and bake it again..

Ingrediants for syrup

Mix syrup together and pour over the cake

Slice and serve

  30. Hi, I am new to bake and a little bit confusion. When to use only baking powder and when to use baking powder and soda combination? What is the right amount for 1 cup flour?

  31. Tried the cake... Turned out really yummy.. thank u Aarthi... But however it got burnt in d top.. what should I do to avoid it next time.. my cooking time was only 30 mins at 180 degrees

    1. if u see this getting coloured fast, cover with a foil lightly so it doesn't get coloured fast
