| Malai Kofta (Vegetable Dumplings cooked in a Creamy Sauce) |
Hai Friends....For one week counting from today onwards, I will be cooking some Rich Creamy Dishes that are suitable only for King and Queens,YES Blogging marathon Season 8 has started and I am doing in the theme “Nawabi Khana”.. This kind of foods are prepared during the period when the kings ruled our countries,So I am going to bring back those memories by cooking those food for one week.So stay with me and enjoy this whole week of creamy goodness....
Today’s recipe is gonna be the famous malai kofta...It is one of the well known dish that everyone have their own way of making it..You could add any vegetables in this but I used only some of them..If you want to avoid frying those koftas you could even bake it in oven for 30 mins...I send this recipe to Blogging Marathan-Day 1 with the theme “Nawabi Khana”.I hope you like it and let me know what you think..
Ingrediants:
For Koftas:
Paneer-1 cup grated
Potato-1 cup boiled and mashed
Carrot-1/2 cup grated
Green chilli-1 chopped finely
Coriander leaves-1/4 cup chopped
Garam masala powder-1 tsp
Coriander powder-2 tsp
Salt to taste
Corn flour-1 cup
Oil for deep frying
For Kofta Sauce:
Onion-1 sliced
Tomtoes-3 chopped
Ginger-1 inch piece
Garlic-6 cloves
Cashew-3 tblspn
Red chilli powder-1 tsp
Coriander powder / Malli podi-1 tblspn
Garam masala powder-1 tsp
Cumin seeds-1 tsp
Raisans /Kishmish /Sultanas-3 tblspn
Milk-1 cup
Curd- ½ cup
Coriander leaves / Cilantro-for garnishing
Salt to taste
Sugar-1 tsp
Oil-3 tblspn
Method:
In a mixing bowl add all ingrediants given for koftas except oil..Mix well and divide into equal portions and form into balls..Coat the balls with cornflour and deep fry in oil till golden.Drain and set aside.
In a frying pan drizzle 1 tblspn of oil..Add in cashew pieces,garlic,ginger,onions and cook till golden.
Add in chilli and coriander powder and mix well.Add in tomatoes and give it a stir.
Let this cool down...Now grind it into a smooth paste.
Now heat 2 tblspn of oil in the same kadai and add cumin seeds and allow it to splatter.
Add in the ground masala and cook till oil separates from this.Add in curd and milk and mix well.
Add in kishmish and garam masala powder and mix well.Bring this to boil and simmer for 3 min.
Add the koftas and garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve immediately..

| Pour in the milk or cream... |
| add in raisans and mix well.. |
| Sprinkle in garam masala powder |
| let it come to a boil... |
| switch off the flame and add the koftas in.. |
| Serve immediately |
| Yummy looking dish.. |

Hey sorry, did u use fresh curd or sour curd. and if it is cream can i use regular cream or does it have to be the heavy cream?
