Whole Wheat Buns

 
Sometimes I feel like going on a diet or try to eat low calories and healthy food...Then the first thing I feel is to eat wheat dishes like wheat bread,rotis or something like that..

If you buy store bought wheat bread I know that they won’t make it completely with wheat..They will add some regular flour or some preservatives in that...So what I do is I make my own buns so that I know what is in that and what I am eating..

This bun is one of that because I made this entirely with wheat flour...And I feel happy eating that because I know that it is healthy for me..

I don’t get chances often to feel like this..

You can fill this bun with anything and eat it like a burger..I made a spicy potato filling and had this..

So here you go..

Ingrediants:

Wheat Flour-3 cups
Yeast-2 tblspn
Salt to taste
Sugar-1 tblspn
Olive oil-1 tblspn
Warm water as needed
Curd-1/2 cup

For Topping:
Cream or milk-1 tblspn
Sesame seeds-2 tblspn

Method:

Add yeast and sugar in warm water and curd and let it sit for 5 min.

In a mixing bowl,take wheat flour and salt and mix well.

Make a well in the center and pour the yeast mixture in this.make a soft dough out of this..

Apply oil over this and cover it with plastic wrap and let it sit for 1 hour.

Now punch the air out of this and knead it for 3 min.Divide the dough in to equal portions and form balls out of it.

Arrange it in a well oiled tray and cover it with a damp cloth.Let this rest for 30 mins till it increase in size.

Now brush this with cream or milk and sprinkle some sesame seeds over this..

Put this in preheated oven (220 °C or 450°F)..Cook for 15 min till light golden colour.

Remove this and let it cool down...

Serve warm..

make into a soft dough

drizzle some olive oil in this...

cover it with a plastic wrap and let it rest...

Till it doubles in size

Punch the air out and knead to a soft dough

Make small balls out of this and let it rest

Till it doubles in size

Apply some milk over this and sprinkle some sesame seeds

bake it till light golden...

Serve like this or..

Make some burgers out of this...
