Three ingrediants for a wonderful sweet..How easy it could be...
I know that diwali is one of the hectic season for everyone...We will be busy in getting things ready and lots of confusion in deciding what sweets to make and stuffs like that..
I can tell you this barfi is the answer..It is such a easy peesy recipe which you can whip up in any hectic days...
I found this recipe in a magazine and tried it atonce...The result was pretty fabulous..So I hope you all will give this a try and let me know what you think..
Off you go to the step by step recipe with pictures...
Ingrediants:
Store Bought Instant Milk powder-1 cup / 150 gms(I used Everyday)
Sugar-1 ¾ cup / 200 gms
Ghee – ½ cup / 50 gms
Method:
Take ghee in a kadai and heat it up..Now add in milk powder and fry for 3 minutes..
Remove this and set aside.
Take sugar in the same kadai and cover it with water..Bring that to boil..
Let it boil continuously for 5-8 mins untill it reaches one string consistency...(ie) if you take the spoon off from the sugar syrup the last drops falls from the spoon forms a string...
Now gradually add in fried milk powder and mix well..
Stir this continuosly for 5 mins or untill it is thickened..
Grease a pan with butter and pour this in it..
Let it cool down completely before cutting into pieces..
Serve..
