If you love the smell and flavour of mint then this chutney is for you...It has a slight sweet flavour comes through as you have this chutney...
This chutney is perfect with hot idlis..

Ingrediants:
Mint Leaves-2 cups
Onion-1 chopped
Garlic-1 fat clove
Cumin seeds / Jeerakam-1 tsp
Tamarind-1 tsp
Salt to taste
Sugar-1 tsp
Oil-1 tblspn
Method:
Heat oil in a kadai and add in cumin seeds..Let it crackle..
Now add in garlic and onions and mix well.
Add mint leaves and allow it to wilt..
Add tamarind,salt and sugar and mix well.
Let it cool down..Grind it in a blender till smooth.
Serve with idli or dosa..

sounds good but u didnt add chilly in it ..
hi aarthi.. I did this chutney few days before but i could not be able to grind smootly coz of the stem. So i could not be able to eat that chutney. From this experiment, i came to a conclusion that i should remove the stem from the leaves.. What about u ? Pls suggest ..
sitalekshmi..If you have a good blender you can even make a fine paste of the stalks too..BUt you can use the leaves alone for getting smooth paste..
