I know that this post has to be posted before diwali...Since I have lots of recipes on hand, I couldn’t post everything at one time...You could make this ladoos not only for diwali but anytime as you want..Because it is such a easy peasy recipe..
Making ladoos are one of the tricky part in cooking..Because you need to adjust the sugar to the right consistency and add the mixture slowly in this and stirring often and forming ladoos from the hot mixture and getting your hand burned...NO NO NO...Not again..
This one is the quickest and easiest ladoos you can ever imagine...Most probably it is edible too...This ladoos just melts in your mouth..This is my fiance’s favorite ladoo..And we send that box (which you see in that picture) to his house..He totally enjoyed it..
So here you go to the step by step recipe with pictures..
Ingrediants:
Roasted Gram Dal / Pori Kadalai / Pottu Kadalai – 500 gms
Sugar-250 gms
Ghee-100 gms
Cashews-50 gms / 5 tblspn
Cardamom-6
Method:
Take a blender..Add in gram dal, sugar, cardamom and blend it until this becomes into a fine powder..
Now add in cashews and blend for few moments,so that the cashews are just broken and not powdered..Because you need some pieces of cashew nuts inbetween the ladoos..
Now empty this into a mixing bowl and set aside.
Now take ghee in a sauce pan and melt it down...Down get it too hot, just make it warm..
Pour this ghee on the powdered mixture and start rubbing with your fingers.
Mix ghee evenly over the mixture and start forming tight ladoos...
You have to give some pressure to form this ladoos...If you need more ghee you could add more..
Place the ladoos carefully on to a plate or a box and enjoy or give as presents..

Mona...Thanks for your comment dear..I am really happy that you tried lots of my recipes...Keep on visiting dear..
And Coming to your doubt..Sattu is not Roasted gram dal..It is a mixture of ground various pulses.Roasted gram dal is just roasted channa dal which is available in super markets..Hope it clear your doubt..
Thanks
