Deep fried foods are perfect for cold weather right..But I do feel a little bit guilty when I eat these kinds of dishes, because this drastically affects my waistline..But if I make this I can enjoy it with no guilty feeling..Its because this recipe has tons and tons of veggies as you can see in the pictures..And I know this does good for me too..

I love sweet corn in any thing. I even add sweet corn in the pulav which I make. I love sweet corn soup and sweet corn fritters. When I feel hungry and I don’t feel like cooking anything then what I do is, I take a cup of frozen sweetcorn and microwave it for 5 mins..Then add a blob of butter with some salt and pepper and dig in straight away. I even add some desi spices like chat masala or channa masala in this too..

I love to have light and healthy breakfast..I don’t like to have sweet stuffs for breakfast. Most of the days my breakfast will be some juice or fruits. I often have bread with egg, and I love it too. But some day I don’t like to have eggs in the morning, then I was trying to get some egg substitute in my dishes ..Hence this dish was invented.

As I promised I am delivering you amma’s special appam recipe. This is one of those recipe which stayed in our home for centuries. Amma makes appam like this always. Everyone have their own way of making appam batter, but I think this is the simplest one. Traditionally this is made in a appa chati, but you could easily make this in regular tawa..But you won’t get the shape of traditional appam. But its ok as long as it taste same.

Amma makes this korma whenever she do appam for us. This is her signature dish which pairs excellent with that spongy appam. I have never seen her making this any other day other than those days.

Amma makes a huge batch of dosa batter each weekend which will last us for that whole week..For grinding this, she uses a old fashioned big wet grinder which we are having for more than 25 years..While she plan to grind dosa batter, she also make appam batter and ada batter in the same day to prevent less washing of dishes..Sometimes she makes vada batter too..

I love cooking with paneer often because it taste so awesome and my siblings love this a lot. The cool thing about paneer is, since it is so bland it picks up all the flavours which we add into it..
This recipe is so simple but definitely rich in taste...I served it with paper roast and it was a total hit.You could actually make some chapati or naan to go with it.

Happy Monday Guys...Hope you are doing great and had a wonderful day..I am in a bit hurry today...My sister is pushing me to do a presentation for her school homework..So I leave you with a small introduction and straight you go to the recipe..I made this for saturday lunch and it was totally a hit in my house..I was waiting to share this post ASAP..This is a spiced up vegetable pulav which is perfect for a spice hunter like me..So hope you like it and let me know what you think..Off you go to the step by step recipe with pictures..

I am planning to post all kind of roti and stuffed parathas which we normally make in home..So wait for it..
Without any more delay off you go to the step by step recipe with pictures..
Wheat Flour – 300 gm
Salt – 1 tsp
Warm water as needed
For Stuffing:Cabbage-2 cups grated finely
Onion-1 finely chopped
Coriander Powder / Malli Podi -1 tsp
Chilli Powder-1 tsp
Cumin seeds / Jeerakam-1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil-1 tsp + for pan frying
Mix flour, salt and oil together..Pour some warm water and make into a soft dough..Cover this with a bowl and let it rest for 30 mins.
Now make stuffing..Heat oil in a kadai..Add in cumin seeds and crackle it..
Add in onion and mix well..Add in cabbage and mix well.
Season with salt..Add in chilli and coriander powder and mix well.
Cook this until all water evaporates and the mixture gets dry..This will take around 10-15 mins.
Remove this to a bowl and let it cool down.
Now divide the dough into equal portions..Take one dough and roll a bit.
Spoon some stuffing in this and seal from all sides.
Roll this carefully without giving pressure...This paratha will be a little bit thick..
Heat a tawa and put this paratha in it..Cook on one side for 1 min..Now flip it over and apply some oil and cook on other side till everything is nice and golden..
Remove this and serve with pickle or raita..

|Take a lovely cabbage..And this one is little special..It is a home grown one.Our neighbour gave this for us..|

|Take that part and grate it|
|Grate it finely|
|Chop up your onions too|
|heat some oil|
|add in cumin seeds|
|and some onions|
|fry till translucent|
|add in cabbage|
|season with salt|
|add ur spices|
|and mix well|
|Cook on high heat till it gets dry|
|remove and allow it to cool|
|Divide your dough|
|take one and roll it|
|spoon some filling in|
|seal all sides|
|roll slowly and little thick..|
|put it in hot tawa|
|cook under side too..|
|apply some oil|
|cook on either side till brown..|
|Curd with Chilli powder|
