Recipe Source: Veggie Fare

Ingrediants:

Dark Chocolate – 50 grams + 30 grams(for putting in the center)
Water – 6 tblspn / 90 ML
Butter – 2 tblspn / 30 grams
All Purpose Flour / Maida – 30 grams / 2 tblspn
Sugar – 15 grams / 1 tblspn
Baking Powder - 1/2 tsp

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180°C / 360°F. Butter a ramekin and set aside. I used a 240 ml ramekin.

Melt 50 grams of chocolate in a double boiler. Now add water and butter and melt again.

Add sugar and mix well. Add Flour, baking powder and mix well.

Pour half of the batter to the ramekin and add the blob of chocolate over that. Pour the rest of the batter over this and bake it oven for 12-15 mins.

Let this cool down and invert it to a plate.

Dust it with icing sugar and decorate it as per your wish.

Serve with a dollop of icecream.

Pictorial:
Take all your ingredients, you need some baking
powder too
Divide ur chocolate...Keep a small piece for the molten part
Bring water to boil
put a bowl on top
add chocolate
and melt it down
it has started to melt
completely molten
add water to it
and now butter
and melt it again
when it is molten..take it off the heat
and allow to cool a bit
add sugar
and flour and baking powder
and mix well
Take a bowl or a ramekin
butter it
take half of the batter and pour it in
add the blob of chocolate in the center
right there
and cover with the remaining batter

Can it be done in microwave? Wats the difference in baking in oven n microwave. ... are they same or wat.?
Actually I don't know what I have. ... its shows micro/combi/grill ... so it means I have a microwave ... ryte.?
I am asking u this bcoz I dont want to miss this cake.... waiting desperately. ... n thank u for all ur recipes. ..according to me this blog is definitely a life saver.

Aarthi said...

@AnonymousU have a normal microwave. This cake cannot be done in that. For baking cakes you need a convection oven. THat doesn't mean you cannot bake in that oven, you can use my microwave baking recipes to bake cake in your oven.
