I had a huge container of tutti fruity lying in the fridge for the past one month, I was searching for a recipe to use that cookies..Finally I found a tutti fruity cookies recipe which was firing up in most of the food blogs..When I saw this post in lots of blogs, I got the confindence to try it out..
The cool thing about this cookies is it is eggless..The original recipe called for only regular maida, but I added corn flour to make this cookies even more tasty. Amma and my sister’s loved this cookies, they didn’t keep even a single cookie for me to have a taste, this clearly shows how much they liked it..
I have some more tutti fruity too, I have planned to make eggless tutti fruity cake also..If you have any recipes using this please let me know..
I hope you will try this and tell me how it came out..
Slightly Adapted From: Sharmis Passion
Ingrediants:
All Purpose Flour / Maida – 125 gms / 1 cup / 4.5 ounces
Corn Flour / Corn Starch – 125 gms / 1 cup / 4.5 ounces
Butter -100 gms / 3.5 ounces / ½ cup
Sugar – 125 gms (Powdered) / 1 ¼ cup
Vanilla -1 tsp
Tutti Fruity – 100 gms / 2/3 cup / 3.5 ounces
Method:
Preheat the oven to 160 °C / 350° F. Line a tray with wax paper or foil and butter it lightly.
Add butter, sugar and vanilla in a mixing bowl and beat till smooth and fluffy.
Add cornflour and maida in this and mix well.. Add tutti fruity and mix well.
Form into a round log and put it in a wax paper or plastic wrap and roll it. Twist the edges and put in the fridge for 30 mins or untill firm.
Now unwrap it and cut into thick slices..
Arrange it in the tray and bake it for 12 to 15 mins or untill light golden. Allow it to cool down and remove to a cooling rack.
When it is cooled completely store in air tight container.
I have two other blogs too..
"Colours of my Life" which is about me and my life... http://coloursofmylife-aarthi.blogspot.com

Dear Aarthi, your cookies look really tasty! If you want a never-fail eggless cake recipe, my blog has one: for the basic recipe, just look up my post http://theyogivegetarian.blogspot.com/2010/12/more-comfort-foodyou-can-have-sponge.html
and you can add the tutti frutti in whatever quantity you think right. I avoid dairy products so I usually use soya milk and sunflower oil in my cakes but cows' milk and melted butter is yummy and makes a richer flavour and texture. Don't use ghee unless the cake has a strong flavour to hide it,such as chocolate Good luck with your cake... :)
