Are you hearing about this recipe for the first time, but this is one of the stable recipe in our home. Amma makes this more often that anything else, because this don't need any sidedish. You can serve it with some grated jaggery or idli podi. But if you want it more spicy, you can serve it with some nice spicy chicken curry..It will be mouthwatering..
I hope you will try it out and tell me how it came.
Ingrediants:
Rice Flour / Arisi Mavu - 1 cup
Coconut - 1/4 cup
Salt to taste
Boiling Water as needed
Oil for panfrying
For Serving:
Jaggery / Sarkarai / Vellam
Idli Podi
Method:
Mix rice flour,coconut and salt in a mixing bowl.
Pour in boiling water and make into a soft dough. Divide the dough into equal portions.
Now take a banana leaf or a plastic wrap and oil it slightly. Take one portion of dough and flatten it slightly with your hands.
Put this thin roti in a hot tawa and cook for a min on one side. Drizzle some oil and cook on other side too.
Serve with Jaggery or Idli Podi
