We consume lots of chapati and roti than rice, which is usual with a typical southindian family. Because hubby and me love chapatis more than rice..But I try to make it even more special by adding something in it and make it a litte different than the usual ones. Last month I made this chapati simply by adding some cilantro in it, since I had lots of cilantro lying poorly in my fridge for few weeks..But later I found that it gave a nice flavour to it and actually the chapatis looked so pretty with those little specks of green popping throughout them..We had it with nice spicy chicken curry which is so damn easy to make, I will post that very soon..

Hope everyone had a awesome weekend and enjoying a great Monday now..I had quite a busy Saturday..As a result of that we went to a famous restaurant in our place called 'PRABHU' on Sunday..We ordered their famous Parota, Chicken 65, Aapam & Mutton chukka. It was mouthwateringly delicious.. Then we went to again a famous icecream parlour 'WARRANCE' and enjoyed the best icecreams like jelly icecream, chocolate sundae, blackcurrent..It was so yummy..We totally enjoyed the day..

I love mushrooms a lot, the cool thing about that is it is so easy to make and it gets cooked incredibly fast. Whatever you cook with it taste wonderful. Specially this curry it was so good..The smell of it just lifted the house with its wonderful aroma..This curry is a easy peasy one when you have that magic basic masala on hand..I served it with roti and the combo was awesome..

We were roaming around our favorite supermarket, Suddenly I stopped infront of a small fridge kept on the way..There I found these small packets..I was wondering what it is, since it was the first time I ever saw this.. I called hubby for the answer, he told that it is kaada muttai(quail eggs). In addition to that he told that he has tasted it in a restaurant and it was not that good, But I don't know how you will make it..I wanted to take that, but wondered how it will taste like..But later confidentally tooked a pack and reached home..That night I made a simple egg fry using this, I treated it like normal eggs…The result was awesome and hubby loved it a lot..He told that we should buy couple more packets on our next shopping..

While we were young my mother does her dal curry atleast 5 times a week. We love to have dal with rice, ghee and papad..We will have it with some spicy chilli pachadi(I will post soon), since that curry was so bland, but the taste was so good. Nowadays I too cook lots of dals to make my family healthy..But my dals will be little spicier and has tons of flavours in it..

Cooking is fun, but the prepping part is definitely not fun..Especially when you have got no time on hand, in the peek morning hours. Think about this, if you got all the vegetables already cut, cooked and kept ready in the freezer how you will feel…That’s what I am trying to post for you…The one thing is you should find some time for you to do all these work. Then you can cook in breeze always..

This is another dish which I made using that. A quick and simple stir fry which takes no time to cook..It is just so easy peasy to make but taste so fresh and healthy. The cool thing about cooking in microwave is it helps to retain all the nutrients in that vegetable since you are not cooking it for so long..This is one such dish..

This is another recipe from my sister..She found this from a magazine and tried it when I was at home..You can see how easy it is from the ingrediants list itself..It doesn't have any fancy spice powders or anything like this…Just a simple tempering spices, onions and tomatoes..The paneer taste so fresh since it is not drenched in any of the spices..

Hai Guys…Hope everyone had a great weekend..
Mine was quite a exciting one, we went on a small trip to estuary island in poovar.It was totally a unexpected one..It was a 2 hours trip from our place, we went in two wheeler.I love to travel in two wheeler more than anything else..The journey was a total fun. The island is such a beautiful place on earth. We have to take a 15 mins boat ride to reach that island from poovar..They have a private beach, swimming pool, massage center, gym, yoga room over there..We totally enjoyed it.. My weekend was a total blast.

Most of you know that cooking with microwave is a breeze and so easy..But somehow I am not ok with that, I don't really like cooking in microwave but I use it for cooking the veggies before making a thoran or poriyal, reheating foods, defrosting frozen goodies..I don't really cook foods with it, because I love to watch my foods while it is cooking and observe the changes and flavours it creates in a pot..If you cook in a microwave you don't get that pleasure..

I am up with another awesome recipe from my sister..This is moreover a fusion recipe from me and my sis, because I gave her the recipe and she made it..I helped her a little as well..
This was our first attempt in trying streusal cakes. I never knewed that a cake can taste so good when there is a streusal on top. It is so buttery and had a crunchy top with a moist interior. The chocolate chips and almonds on the top just sank down and melted beautifully which just created a fudgy gooey chocolaty interior. Those Almonds also got so beautifully toasted..This tasted more like a pudding with a crunchy topping rather than a cake, hence the name..

I love lady finger, but some people avoid due to its slimy nature. I was in the same category untill I heard this from my Big Aunt. She told me to add curd in lady finger..It may sound weird to you, but believe me it really really works. I was totally surprised at my first try..The sliminess is GONE and now I can happily eat lady fingers(talking about the veggie, not yours,LOL)..

Couple of month back one of my team mate from office got us the awesome RUM RAISANS CHOCOLATE from cadburys temptation series. We enjoyed every bit of that chocolate, it was so good. From that day onwards I started to crave for that chocolate more often. Then one fine day something came into my mind, I thought why can't we try this chocolate at home.
From that day onwards I wanted to try it so badly. I know that the recipe for making this so easy peasy. But for me getting rum is the hard part, since I was in my mothers place. But later I got married and have such a sweet person in my house to get all these yummy stuffs for me. I decided to give it a go..

Couple of weeks before I went to my mum's place.There she cooked everything from main course to desert for me. You may ask what I did..I just watched and took pictures..Desert was the yummiest cake ever, I helped a little in that since that was her first attempt of making it. I will post that recipe soon.
