I am a absolute
shopping junkie, specially when it comes to kitchen stuffs and food products. I
collect all sorts of stuffs and mount it in my kitchen. Certain stuffs in my
kitchen are yet to be used. Hubby and I go food shopping together, we used to
buy whole bunch of products when it is on sale. Yesterday when we are shopping
we found extra virgin olive oil on deal, It is a buy one get one offer, Aha we
found a awesome deal. Guess what we bought
4 bottle, each a liter capacity for around 25 dollars( 1400 Rs). It was
such a amazing deal. Now I can cook lots of pastas and italian foods…

சால மீன் வறுவல் / Sardine Fish Fry (Mathi / Chala Fry)
Frankly speaking I
could never get a perfect recipe for
frying sardine fish. I know frying fish is one of the simplest thing you could
ever imagine. But each and everytime I make it, I find it is lacking something.
Sometimes I find it very bland, sometimes it gets stuck to the pan and fall
apart. But this was the time I got it perfect. The fish turned out perfectly
cooked, and had full of flavour. Everything came together beautifully.

itself. The meal came together in less than 30 mins. I served it with papad and

Aloo Channa Curry / Potatoes & Chickpeas Cooked in a Spicy Sauce
Channa &
Potatoes are such a lovely combination to cook with. They make awesome curries
when cooked, because they both have the tendency to absorb the flavours which
you add in. I already have a dry version of aloo channa
in my blog, this is a gravy version of it which I make very often at home. You
can serve this with roti, parotas or rice. Hope you will enjoy it.

Homemade Pumpkin Puree / How to Freeze Pumpkin Puree - Halloween Special Recipes
Halloween is getting
near, and diwali too. But I have started cooking for halloween rather than for
diwali. Actually there is no halloween here, we celebrate only diwali. Am I
sounding weird. YES I DO. But actually speaking I love halloween, even though we
don't celebrate here. I have watched how that day goes through televison and
internet. And have admired that. So I thought of cooking for halloween, but
definitely I will post more recipes for diwali in the coming days.

மீன் கறி / Tangy Fish Curry without Coconut
Sometimes when you
are up against the stress, making a fish curry seams like pulling a mountain.
Its all because of a simple coconut. You have to do lots of work to that,
starting from crack opening the coconut, grate it, grind it, Oh man that is tons
of work. So when you are in those period of time try out this simple tangy fish
curry which uses only onions and tomatoes.

What do you want when you throw a party or a get together or just playing card games with your friends, you just need some good food and some good drinks to wash it up. I got lots of request to post finger food recipe in my blog. This is for them.
When you are having a good chat with your friends or playing in your own home, you just need something to eat which doesn't make a lot of mess like dripping and so on. You need something which doesn't need any cutlery to eat. So i came up with this yummy roll ups made with wheat tortilla, some grilled spicy paneer, some crunchy veggies. They are so healthy, you can put them in your kids lunch boxes or make it for parties too..

நேந்திரம் பழம் பாயசம் / Nendrapazham Pradhaman (Payasam) / Ripe Plantain Kheer- Onam Special Recipes
Amma used to give us
steamed bananas when we were little. Whenever she makes puttu, she will add cut
bananas along with the coconut inside the steamer and cook it. We used to fight
for that steamed banana pieces. Specially
the ripe plantain(a variety of banana) which gets more tasty when it is
steamed. They are not only tasty but so healthy. I have heard that they mash up
steamed banana and feed toddlers. This makes them chubby and healthy.
