How to Clean Yam Ordinary / Karunai Kizhangu ( How to Remove Itchiness from Yam Ordinary )

I love making pulikulambu or theyal with this beautiful yam. But the one thing that puts me off is the iching it causes on the throat. I learned this trick from my mum and she told me if you add tamarind while cooking the yam, it removes the itching it creates on the throat. I followed that step and it really worked. So try this way to clean yam and i will be posting a wonderful gravy with this tomorrow.

I have been consuming a lot of sprouts recently. I love how this simple bean become much more nutritious when they are sprouted. I have been adding it to salads, stir fries. Orange Marmalade Cake

One fine day, i decided to bake a lovely orange marmalade cake which i found in sanjeev kapoor's cookbook. I ran into the store and bought a jar of orange marmalade and came home happily to bake this goodness. I made the batter patiently, took step by step picture of it..Poured the batter into the cake tin and blessed the tin and put that into the oven.
