Cooking Video Episode 8 - Tri Colour Griled Sandwich / Chilli & Coriander Chutney Panini Recipe

Sorry Guys for not posting any video for a long time. I almost forgot about it and thank god to one of my reader reminded me that. So i am up with a video post. This is going to be a sandwich recipe and absolutely my favorite one. Did i mention, this is my hubby's favorite recipe too. He totally loved it a lot.

I made a couple of special chutney for this sandwich, one is a spicy red chutney and another one is a flavourful green chutney. Butter is another main stuff in this, because it gives a lovely flavour to the sandwich. 

I used a electric grill maker for this, you could use a regular grill pan or tawa for this too. But if you own a panini press, it will work great for this too.

Preparation Time : 15 mins
Cooking Time : 2 mins for each sandwich
Serves : 1 to 2


Bread Slices - 6
Butter - 2 to 3 tblspn or as needed

For Green Chutney:
Coriander leaves / Cilantro - a bunch
Green Chilli - 1
Ginger - 1 inch piece
Garlic - 1 clove
Lemon Juice - 1 tblspn
Salt to taste
Sugar - 1 tsp

For Spicy Chutney:
Dry Red Chilli -4
Tomato Ketchup - 2 tblspn
Garlic - 1 clove
Lemon Juice - 1 tblspn
Salt to taste


Grind the ingredients given for the chutneys to a smooth paste. 

Now take a bread slice and apply butter on one side. Take another slice and apply green chutney over it. Place it chutney side down over the buttered side.

Now apply spicy chutney on other side of the bread and butter another slice of bread. Press that over the chutney side.

Now butter the outer both side of the bread. 

Heat a panini press or grill maker. Place the sandwich over it and cook for a couple of mins till it is golden and pressed.

Cut into wedges and serve.
