Oats & Cornflakes Ladoo / Oats Cornflakes Ladoo with Dates & Sultanas


I love to sneak oats in my cooking, snacks and everything. They are such a amazing stuff to make anything. You can check out the oats recipes in my blog. I added cornflakes in this too, to give that crunch effect to the ladoos.  You can add nuts in this too, but i added dates, kishmish to make it even more tasty.

It is so easy to make, i added jaggery in this. But you could use sugar too.Make this immediately and give it to your kids, they will love it for sure.

You all know that i love making rasam for my meals, because i love the simplicity of it and the fresh taste it brings to the meals. Since it is so hot here, i am not feeling like cooking anything, i just want to hit the kitchen like a storm. So i love to make rasam since it is so easy and take just less than 15 mins to make. Chicken Meatball Soup


Last Night we thought of making some soup for dinner, since hubby had a little cough. So i thought to making a warm chicken soup for him. I ran out of chicken pieces, but had only some burger mix which made few days back and freezed it. So decided to make meatball soup with it and infuse lots of ginger and garlic in it. So i made a little medicinal kind of soup, and added lots of pepper in it. It was so filling and satisfying.

I should have posted this recipe so many months back on past ganesh chaturthi, but i am not sure how i missed it. It has been sitting in my drafts for so many months and went unnoticed. I thought of sharing this recipe with you all today before i forget about it. This is a staple recipe in our home, we make this along with elai appam(which will be posted soon) on every chaturthi. It never fails us and the recipe has been passed from generation over generation. It is so simple to make, but they taste so fresh and heavenly.

Amma's Pulikulambu with Brinjal, Drumstick & Onions


I have been waiting to share this recipe ever since i posted my mum's urundai kulambu recipe. I have been getting a lots of request from my readers to share this recipe. So here i am with the post. I make pulikulambu a little differently, i sometimes add ground spices or sometime roast and grind my spices. But this is how my mum makes her pulikulambu. This is a little spicy gravy, so a little gravy mixed with rice and had with papad is highly satisfying.

Chicken Liver Pepper Fry


As you all know, chicken liver is my hubby's favorite thing to eat of all time. He loves it a lot. Specially if it is made into  dry dish like fry or masala. So last time i decided to make a pepper fry out of it. This recipe is very easy to make and it calls for ingredients which you have in your pantry already. This recipe is a super hot dish, all the spicyness comes from the pepper and some from the green chillies.I used freshly ground pepper in this recipe, i some how don't like the store bought ground pepper powder. It taste sandy for me. But you can use it if you like it.

Panch Phoron Potatoes / Aloo Panch Phoron / Potatoes with Bengali Five Spice Mix



Hai Guys..I can't wait to share this recipe with you all, because of its deliciousness. It was unbelievably yummy. The five spices which i added gave it a very unique flavour and taste to it.  The onions in this turned so sweet and soft and it was amazing. Karunai Kilangu Pulikulambu / Yam Ordinary Puli Kulambu / Yam Ordinary Cooked in a Spicy Tamarind Sauce


I love making Pulikulambu often. We make it with a whole lot of veggies and beans, but this gravy i learned from my mom. She makes it during pongal season, because we used to buy a lot of different veggies, yams and potatoes during that time. What i love in this gravy is the simple bland yam ordinary taste so heavenly when cooked this way.
