Pico De Gallo Recipe - Mexican Pico De Gallo Recipe


Pico ge gallo is a fresh dip or topping which is famous all over mexico..It is served with pretty much everything. It gives a fresh, citrus tang to those foods. It even makes bland flavourless dishes taste pretty good..I served this with burrito which we piled over every bite and its citrus tang was perfect..I love the crunchy bite of the onions in this a lot..It added a bit of zing..

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Serves : 4 to 6

Ingredients:


Onion - 1 large chopped very finely
Tomatoes - 2 large chopped very finely
Green Chillies - 1 or 2 deseeded and chopped finely
Coriander Leaves or Cilatro - a handful chopped finely
Lemon Juice - 1 tblspn or to taste
Salt to taste

Method:


Mix all ingredients together and chill for a good 1 to 2 hours in fridge

Serve with chips or with burrito or whatever you like.

Take all your ingredients


You need finely chopped tomatoes


finely chop lots of onions


finely chop some parsley or coriander leaves


finely chop some jalapeno pepper or  green chillies..
Deseed them before you chop//


now take some lemon juice in a bowl


season with salt


mix well


add in onions


chillies


tomatoes


mix well


finely add in parsley


toss well


cover it with plastic wrap


chill for couple of hours


now it is done
