This cookies is plain and simple. You can use any shape cookie cutter to cut out cookies. You can even dip the cookies in melted chocolate and serve.

Preparation Time: 10 mins
Chilling Time : 1 hour
Baking Time : 15 mins
Makes : 24 cookies
Ingredients:
All Purpose Flour / Maida – 1 3/4 cup / 210 grams
Sugar – 1/2 cup / 100 grams (powdered)
Unsalted Butter – 150 grams (soft)
Vanilla Essence – 1 tsp
Salt – a pinch
(My 1 cup measures 240 ml)
Method:
Take butter, sugar in a bowl and cream till fluffy.
Add in vanilla, salt and mix well.
Add in flour and mix well to form a dough. Wrap this in cling wrap and chill in fridge for 1 hour.
Now roll this dough between two sheets of parchment paper or cling wrap.
Use cookie cutter to cut out shapes. Pop this cut cookies in fridge for 15 mins.
Preheat oven to 180 degree C / 350 degree F.
Now arrange it in a baking pan lined with parchment and bake for 12 to 15 mins depending on the thickness of the rolled cookies.
The cookies should get light golden around the edges.
Now remove from oven and let it cool for 5 mins.
Remove and cool it on a wire rack completely.
Store in a air tight container.

Hi arthi, how do o mix the dough to make soft? Diff recipes calls diff procedures.. can u detail me to get the soft texture? Shd it be like chapati dough? I have an airfryer tgat says baking is possible. Can i try this in airfryer? Thx deepa
If u measure the ingredients properly the dough should turn out just perfect. It will be smooth. You will feel the dough. Yes u can make this in a air fryer.
Is it possible to add colourings to this recipe? and when do i have to put it after the flour or before?
