This is a simple version of making this exclusive dish…The real taste for this dish comes from the cream that we use,if you don’t want to use cream you could always use milk,But nothing compared to the cream,so please try to use that and also you can skip the oil but never skip the butter(of course this is butter paneer, how can we skip butter)..I served this dish with some wheat naan(will post recipe soon)..So hope you will give this a try and let me know what you think…

Ingredients:

Paneer-1 packet
Tomato-4 pureed
Onion-1 sliced
Ginger Garlic paste-1 tblspn
Red chilli powder-1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder-1 tsp
Butter-3 tblspn
Oil-1 tblspn
Cream-3 tblspn
Kasurimethi leaves-1 tblspn
Coriander leaves for Garnishing
Sugar-1 tblspn
Salt to taste

Method:

In a sauce pan add water and boil it.Put the paneer cubes and cover till ready to use.

In a kadai add oil and butter and heat it up.Add in the sliced onion, salt and sugar.Fry till golden brown.

Now add ginger garlic paste and mix well.Pour in the tomato puree, red chilli powder and garam masala powder and give a stir.Cook till oil separates from it.

Add in the paneer cubes and mix well.Pour in water and boil for 4 min.drizzle some cream and mix.Throw in kasurimethi leaves and Garnish with coriander leaves and mix well.

Serve hot by adding a blob of butter and some fresh cream on top.

Pictorial:

Hi, I really like your site. seeing pictures and cooking is easy. Keep it up.

I made the butter paneer. I used the puree instead of making it from the tomato, so it became tangy. how to remove the tanginess? Also I added milk instead of cream as I didn't have cream. Its a bit sweet. So don't want to add sugar more.
