This is a simple curry which taste really delicious. It is simple to make and goes great with roti, chapati, phulka, ghee rice or pulao.

Serves: 4
Ingredients;
Oil – 3 tblspn
Cumin Seeds / Jeeragam – 1 tsp
Onion – 1 large chopped finely
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tblspn
Tomatoes – 2 large chopped finely
Spinach – 5 to 6 cups chopped finely
Chana / Chickpeas – 4 cups cooked
Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Coriander Powder – 1.5 tblspn
Chilli Powder – 2 tsp or to taste
Garam Masala Powder – 2 tsp
Water – 1 to 2 cups
Method:
Soak channa overnight. Add the soaked channa to pressure cooker, cover with water and pressure cook it for 5 whistle. After that simmer the pan and cook for 20 to 25 mins. Switch off the heat and let the steam go all by itself.
Heat oil in a kadai. Add in cumin and let them sizzle.
Add in onions, and cook till golden. Add in ginger garlic paste and saute them for a min.
Add in tomatoes and cook that till mushy. Add in salt and turmeric powder and mix well.
Add in chilli and coriander powder and mix well
Now add in spinach and cook that for 5 mins or so till it wilts down.
Add in cooked chana and mix well. Add water as needed. Now cover and simmer this for 5 to 10 mins.
Now add in garam masala powder and mix well.
Serve.
