Chicken Rendang

Chicken Rendang
Hai Friends hope everyone had a wonderful time doing Blogging marathon..I couldn’t believe that it came to a end so soon..From tomorrow onwards I am in another theme..Hope you all enjoyed all the malaysian recipes I posted this week(Check this link for recipes)..To finish this theme,I am gonna post two recipes today..So check it out..

This is another famous dish in malaysia..A simple chicken dish that is truly amazing..This one is so creamy and yummy one..You could substitute mutton or beef instead of chicken.. 
Ingrediants:
Chicken- 1/2 kg
Potato-2 chopped
Coconut milk-3 cup
Kaffir lime zest-1 tblspn
Bay leaf-1
Sugar-to taste
Salt to taste
For  Spice paste:
Red chillies-10(soaked in hot water)
Shallots / Sambar onion-10
Garlic-6
Ginger-1 inch piece
Turmeric powder-1 tsp
Coriander seeds / Malli-2 tblspn
Cumin / Cumin-1 tsp
Pepper-1 tsp
Method:
In a mixer take all the ingrediants given for spice paste and make it into a fine paste.
Heat oil in a wok and add in the spice paste,salt,sugar and cook till oil separates from it.
Add in chicken piece along with potatoes and mix well.
Add in kaffir lime peel,bay leaf and mix well.
When the chicken is half cooked,pour in the coconut milk and simmer it till the chicken is cooked.
Serve hot with rice or any bread..

Grab your ingrediants for curry
These are your spice paste ingrediants
Grind your spices
Cook the paste in oil
cook till oil separates
Add in chicken
and potatoes
throw in kaffir lime peel
bay leaf
Pour in water and cook till half cooked
pour in coconut milk
cook till chicken and potatoes are cooked
SERVE
Best way to enjoy is with rice
