This is a guilt free mousse recipe which i made recently, it has no cream or milk in it. It is made with chocolate and for the creaminess i used avocado..Pretty easy to, everything goes in a blender and puree, thats it..I used semi sweet chocolate in this, you can use any chocolate like dark or milk..Adjust the sugar level accordingly..
This mousse is pretty fudgy and creamy because of the good amount of chocolate going into it..you can reduce the chocolate content in this if you want the mousse to be more on the runnier and creamier side. And one more thing, dont you love the cute bowl set, one of my cousin gifted me this, i just loved it and cant wait to use it in my other recipes..Thank you sissy!
Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..
Preparation Time : 10 mins
Setting Time : 2 hours
Serves : 6 to 8
Ingredients:
Semisweet Chocolate Chips – 1 cup (use milk or dark)
Avocado – 1 large ripe
Sugar – 1/4 cup or to taste
Melted Butter or Oil – 1 tblspn
Vanilla Essence – 1 tsp
Method:
Take chocolate chips in a dry clean bowl. Melt it in microwave or over a double boiler. Make sure the water is on simmering and the bottom of the chocolate bowl doesn’t touch the water simmering.
Now take the chocolate and mix well. It will be smooth and shiny. Add in 1 tblspn of oil and mix well. Set aside to cool.
Scoop out the flesh from avocado. Take avocado in a blender and add sugar. Blend till smooth.
Now pour in the melted chocolate, vanilla and puree again.
Spoon or pipe this into serving glasses and put it in fridge for couple of hours.
Serve.

What brand of chocochip do you use? This is really a good blog for a beginner like me with step by step pictures. Teallu appreciate your efforts.
Wow! I would have never thought to use avocado in a dessert. But in your pictures it looks so creamy and delicious that now I absolutely have to try it. I just need to find some really good ripe avocados.
I tried this recipe couple of days back while I loved it, the husband wasn't so keen on it saying it tasted green (due to avocado). Did you taste avocado in the mousse ? Any ways of getting rid of the avocaody taste ? Thanks
@Maddyreduce avocado amount and add little cream to it and more chocolate
