    Chocolate burfi recipe with step by step pictures. This burfi is made using maida, sugar and cocoa and is perfect for any festival.

    Chocolate Burfi 

    This is a chocolate version of my maida burfi. It is super dooper easy to make. And diwali has started in yummy tummy. You will be seeing so many diwali sweets and snacks in yummy tummy this whole month. So keep on checking it.

    Ingredients for Chocolate Burfi

    • All Purpose Flour / Maida - ¾ cup
    • Cocoa Powder - 3 tblspn
    • Sugar - 1 cup
    • Water - ⅓ cup
    • Ghee - ¼ cup

    How to Make Chocolate Burfi

    1. Heat ghee in a pan, add maida and stir fry for a min. Add in cocoa powder and mix till combined. Set aside in a plate.
    2. In the same pan, add in sugar and water..Now mix well and cook this till 1 string consistency. when you take some of the syrup between your index and thumb finger, you will be able to form 1 string. Check image.
    3. Now take it off the heat, this is very important, Turn off the heat and add in the flour mix in.
    4. Now keep on mixing this, it will take 3 to 5 mins. It will get thick. 
    5. At this stage pour this into the greased tray and smoothen the top.
    6. Now set this for 15 to 30 mins.
    7. Cut it into squares and serve.
