Chukka Soya Chunks Curry (Meal Maker)

Chukka soya curry
I made this dish today and it was a great hit.This dish is a best substitute for chicken.It has the same flavour and texture of chicken.Since soya is a great source of protein,this is a complete meal.You can serve this as a roll up,just place some curry inside roti and roll it up..Those who guys love spicy food this is a real treat for them..Please try this dish and let me know what you think…

Ingrediants:
Soya Chunks-2 cups( Click to know how to cook soya chunks)
For Marination:
Red chilli powder-1 tsp
Turmeric powder-1 tsp
Pepper-1 tsp
Garam masala powder-1 tsp
Corn flour-3 tblspn
Salt to taste
For Masala:
Onion-1 large sliced
Curry leaves-1 spring
Saunf(sombu)-2 tsp
Ginger Garlic paste-1 tblspn
Red chilli powder-1 tsp
Turmeric powder-1 tsp
Pepper-1 tsp
Garam masala powder-1 tsp
Lemon juice-1 tblspn
Oil-4 tblspn
Salt to taste
Method:
Boil 4 cups of water along with salt and bring that to boil.Add in soya chunks and cover the pan.Let it sit for 10 min.Drain it and wash in lots of cold water and squeeze it.Set this aside.
Mix all the ingrediants given for marinate with the soya chunks.
Heat 2 tblspn of oil and sauté the soya chunks for 10 min till golden and crisp.Remove it and set this aside.
Heat 2 tblspn of oil in kadai and crackle saunf and curry leaves.Add in onion and fry till golden.
Add green chilli and ginger garlic paste and mix well.Add in pepper,red chilli powder,turmeric powder,garam masala powder and mix well.Season with salt to taste.
Pour in a splash of water and mix well.Add in the fried soya chunks and mix well.
Cover the pan and let it simmer for 10 min.Add in lemon juice and mix well.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or rice.

add turmeric,chilli powder and pepper to cooked soya chunks
Add some cornflour..
Saute this in a kadai….
Till it is nicely seared on all sides…
Remove this and set aside…
Crackle fennel seeds and curry leaves in a kadai…
add onions and fry till translucent
add in green chilli and mix well
throw in some spice powders
mix well
add in the soya chunks
mix well
add a splash of water…
cover and cook
squeeze some lemon juice
Serve..
Roll it up and enjoy

    I dont have corn flour.. instead of using that corn flour, which flour i can add??

    @AnonymousYou can add regular all purpose flour/maida or you could add some rice flouw too..
