I am kind of obsessed with french toast. I can never have enough of them. This one is a addition to my french toast collections and it is so good. i can never stress on the that more. The combo of cinnamon french toast with the sweet poached juicy plums is perfection. This is one of nigella lawson's recipe and it is addictive.
Ingredients for French Toast
Making french toast can be pretty easy. You mix the egg mixture in a shallow bowl and then dip the bread in this. Cook it in butter till golden brown. That's it.
Bread Slices - 2
Butter - 2 to 3 tblspn
Eggs - 1
Cinnamon Powder - 1 tsp
Milk - ¼ cup
How to Make Plum Compote
Sugar - ½ cup
Water - 1 cup
Plums - 6 to 10
Combine all the ingredients given in the list in a sauce pan and simmer it till syrupy and the fruit is soft.

How to Make this Recipe
- Start by making the poached plums, take sugar and water in a pan, bring it to a boil. Add in halved plums cut side down and let it simmer for 5 mins, flip over and let it simmer for another 5 mins. Now turn off the heat and set aside.
- Take egg, cinnamon and milk in a bowl and mix well.
- Take bread slices and dip them in the milk mix on both sides so it can absorb.
- Heat butter in a pan, fry the bread slices till golden brown.
- Drain and serve with poached plums.
