Creamy Egg Curry Recipe

Curries are one of the essential part of indian cooking.Indian food is not completely finshed with out a bowl full of Curry and Rice.Curries are basically made with chicken,vegetables or anything that are cooked in Cocount milk or Coconut paste..But Coconut is must in making any sort of curry.The curry I tried is with eggs,I made it entirely based on Coconut milk,It was so creamy and absolutely delicious.I will highly recommend everyone to try this once.I was a great party dish too,It goes well with anything,But it will great with appam or idiyappam…

 
Ingrediants:
Egg-4 boiled
Onion-1 chopped finely
Tomato – 2 finely chopped
Ginger garlic paste-1 tblspn
Green chilli-2 slitted
Red chilli pdr -1 tblpsn
Coriander pdr(taniya’malli podi)-1 tblspn
Turmeric powder(manja podi)-1 tsp
Garam masala prd-1tsp
Kasuri methi leaves(Dried ventaya keerai)-2 tsp
Thick coconut milk-3 cups(if using cans use about 2 cans)
Coriander leaves-for garnishing
Lemon juice-1 tsp
Salt to taste
Sugar- 1 tsp (optional)
Method:
In a kadai add oil and Stir in the ginger garlic paste.
Add onions and cook till golden brown,then add in the green chili and throw in all the spices and mix well.
Now add in the the tomatoes and cook till the tomatoes become soft.
Add the kasuri methi leaves and mix well.
Pour in all the coconut milk and let it come to a boil.Add in the salt and sugar to taste.
Let it simmer for 5 mins.Now put in the eggs and mix well.
Garnish with coriander leaves and squeeze in a little lemon juice.
Serve hot with Appam,Idiyappam,Chappati or Rice.

Ur ingrediants
Saute Ginger Garlic paste in oil
add in onions and mix well
add in green chilli
Now add in spice powders
add more spice powders
cook till oil separates
add in tomatoes
add in kasuri methi leaves
Mix well
add in coconut milk
bring that to boil
add in eggs
add some lemon juice
Garnish with cilantro
mix well
SERVE
ENJOY..

    tried this egg curry and it was a hit,my kiddos love eggs,and they loved this dish.Thank you so much,you have an amazing collection of recipes,even tried out your tawa pulao,must say awesome and so simple.Thank you and do keep posting more such fabulous recipes.

    Hey, Aarthi! I have a question. The recipe mentions tomatoes and they are pictured, but they are not present in the ingredient list. How many tomatoes do you need for this dish? I added two and it was fine, but I thought I'd ask.

    Hi Aarthi,

    Tried the egg gravy tonit for chapathi n it was very delicious. But my husband Said tat it was too sweet. I'm not sure whether adding 2 tsp of sugar made the gravy sweet …

    I jus loved it.. Ty

    This egg curry came out very well. We ate appum with it. I saw a comment here on the sugar and we did not add it. The coconut milk has its own sweetness that is enough. Great recipe. Thank you.

    It came out very well. Kids loved it together with appum. We saw the comment on sugar and did not add. Coconut milk has a natural sweetness and that is enough. Your pictures are self explanatory. Good site.
