Easy Aloo Tikki Recipe / Aloo Cutlet Recipe

I love making cutlets, this is one of the simple cutlet made with potatoes. I call them as tikki because there is no cornflour coating in them.

Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..
Preparation Time : 15 mins
Cooking Time : 2 to 3 mins per batch
Makes : 8 to 10

Ingredients:
Potatoes – 2 large boiled and peeled
Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Cumin Powder – 1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder – 1 tsp
Chat Masala Powder – 1/2 tsp
Coriander Leaves a handful finely chopped
Lemon Juice – 1 tsp
Breadcrumbs as needed
Oil for Shallow Frying

Method:
Mix all the ingredients except oil and breadcrumbs. Shape it into log like shape.
Coat it in breadcrumbs. 
Heat oil for frying, fry in oil till golden on both sides.
Serve with ketchup.

Pictorial:
Take some boiled potatoes

Peel the skin off the potatoes

Mash them up

add in some chopped coriander leaves

Now add in some chilli powder, garam masala powder
and cumin powder

add a little chat masala powder and some salt..
Be careful with the salt, because chat masala has salt in them

add in some lemon juice

mix this really well

take a small portion of the mix

Shape them into ball

shape it into log like

all done

Take breadcrumbs in a plate

take the cutlet and coat it in breadcrumbs

coat on all sides

all done

heat little oil for frying

place the cutlet in

cook till golden on both sides

Serve with some ketchup.

    I also use the same recipe exactly but I use beaten egg and crums for coating and can be freeze also in a tray for quite a long time.

    Hey in the vegetable cutlet recipe you have dipped it into egg batter before dipping in bread crumbs. Can we add egg in the recipe for dipping? Will it taste good?
