    Easy Passion Fruit Trifle Recipe

    This trifle is one of the quickest and easiest desert you could ever make. Plus it is so tasty and light.Great for big parties or get togethers..

    I made this with passion fruit, because i had few on hand, plus i saw this recipe made by nigella in her cooking show. You can use any fruits as you like. Mangoes, Strawberries, Apples, Pineapples will be great too..

    Preparation Time : 15 mins
    Chilling Time : 6 Hours or ovenight
    Serves : 5 to 6


    Ingredients:

    Sponge Cake - 10 to 15 slices (RECIPE HERE)
    Simple Syrup - as needed (Recipe below)
    Passion Fruit - 10 to 12 (or any fruit)
    Cream - 1 cup ( I used 25% fresh cream)
    Powdered Sugar - 2 tblspn
    Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp


    For Simple Syrup:
    Sugar - ½ cup
    Water - 1 cup

    Method:

    Cut open passion fruit and remove the seeds into a bowl.

    Make simple syrup by heating sugar and water in a sauce pan, cook till the sugar is melted. Set aside in fridge till cold.

    Take cream, sugar and vanilla in a bowl. Whip till thick. Add some of the passion fruit pulp into it and fold gently. Put in the fridge till needed.

    Line the base of the bowl with the cake. Spoon the syrup all over it.

    Pour some of the passion fruit pulp over it.

    Spread cream all over it.

    Spoon some more passion fruit over it.

    Chill into the fridge overnight.

    Serve cold.

    use a hand blender to whip

    whip till thick

    add in half of the pulp

    fold gently

    cream done

    Take a bowl

    Lay with sponge cake..i used store bought one.

    pour syrup over it

    let it soak for 5 mins

    Spoon passion fruit pulp over the cake

    Spoon cream over it
    Pin
    pour passion fruit pulp all over it

    Set this in fridge overnight

    Enjoy cold
