Cocoa - Chocolate Snack Cake Recipe

Recipe Source; Fine Cooking Super moist and very chocolaty cocoa coffee snack cake which has a intense chocolate flavour because of the addition of coffee.
Ingredients
  • All Purpose Flour / Maida - ¾ cup (90 grams)
  • Cocoa Powder - ⅓ cup (35 grams)
  • Egg - 1
  • Sugar - ¾ cup (150 grams)
  • Oil - ⅓ cup (80 ml)
  • Vanilla Extract - 1 tsp
  • Baking Soda / Cooking Soda - 1 tsp
  • Baking Powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt a pinch
  • Warm Coffee - ¾ cup (180 ml)
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 180 degree C. Line a 5 inch square pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Take flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder in a bowl and mix well.
  3. Take oil, sugar, egg, vanilla and salt in a bowl and whisk well.
  4. Add in half of the flour mix and mix gently.
  5. Add in the warm coffee and mix well.
  6. Add remaining flour and fold gently.
  7. Spoon it into the prepared pan and bake for 35 to 40 mins.
  8. Remove and cool completely.
  9. Slice and serve
