This soft scottish morning rolls are perfect served warm with a cup of coffee or tea. They are also called as floury rolls.
  • All Purpose Flour / Maida - 3 cups
  • Dry Yeast - 1.5 tsp
  • Sugar - 2 tblsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Warm Milk - 1.5 cups or as needed
  • Milk for brushing over buns
  1. Take yeast, sugar in a bowl. Pour over some warm milk and mix well. Set aside for 5 mins so the yeast can activate.
  2. Now take flour, salt in a bowl and mix well
  3. Add the yeast mix and milk and knead to a soft dough..
  4. Knead the dough for 5 mins.
  5. Cover it with plastic wrap. Leave to rise for 1 to 2 hours.
  6. Now punch out the air. Divide it into equal portions.
  7. Take a ball, roll it into a smooth ball.'
  8. Now roll it into a disc.
  9. Place it in a greased baking pan. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour.
  10. During the last 10 mins of rising, preheat oven to 200 degree C.
  11. Brush the top with milk.
  12. Pop it into the oven and bake for 12 to 14 mins.
  13. Serve warm.
