Vegetable Pulao for Kids

Healthy and delicious veg pulao which is easy to make and taste so good. Taste delicious with raita or any poriyal or sidedish.
Ingredients
  • Ghee - 2 tblsp
  • Cardamom / Yelakai - 2
  • Cloves / Krambu - 2
  • Cinnamon / Pattai - 1 piece
  • Bay Leaf - 1
  • Onion - 1 sliced thinly
  • Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tblsp
  • Carrot - 1 chopped finely
  • Beans - 5 chopped
  • Peas - ¼ cup
  • Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
  • Pepper Powder - ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Basmati Rice - ½ cup
  • Water - 1¼ cup
Instructions
  1. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker.
  2. Add in whole spices. Add in onions and saute for a min.
  3. Add in ginger garlic paste and mix well.
  4. Add in veggies, salt and spice powders and mix well.
  5. Add in rice and mix well.
  6. Add in water and bring it to a boil.
  7. Cover and pressure cooker for 1 whistle.
  8. Let the steam escape by itself.
  9. Fluff up the rice and serve.
