Pakoda Kuzhambu Recipe

Delicious pakoda kuzhambu which not only taste amazing but is so easy to make. You can use store bought pakoda and make this curry.
Ingredients
  • Coconut Oil - 2 tblsp
  • Fennel Seeds / Sombu / Saunf - 1 tsp
  • Cinnamon / Pattai - 1 small piece
  • Cardamom / Yelakai - 3
  • Cloves / Krambu - 3
  • Onion - 1 large chopped finely
  • Tomato - 2 chopped finely
  • Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tblsp
  • Chilli Powder - 1 tblsp
  • Garam Masala Powder - 1 tblsp
  • Cumin powder - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander Powder - 1 tblsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Pakoda - 200 grams
FOR GRINDING:
  • Coconut - ½ cup
  • Roasted Gram Dal / Pori Kadalai - 2 tblsp
  • Fennel Seeds / Sombu - 1 tsp
Instructions
  1. Grind ingredients given to a smooth paste.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add in whole spices and let them sizzle.
  3. Add in onions and saute till golden.
  4. Add in ginger garlic paste and saute for a min.
  5. Add in tomato and cook till mushy.
  6. Add spice powders and salt. Mix well.
  7. Add in water and boil it,
  8. Add in coconut masala and mix well.
  9. Add pakoda and mix well.
  10. Cover and simmer for 5 mins.
  11. Serve.
