Whole Wheat Beetroot Cake Recipe

Healthy whole wheat beetroot cake which is made without maida, butter. This whole wheat beetroot cake is best for kids and people who are in diet.
  • Eggs - 2
  • Beetroot - 1 peeled and chopped
  • Sugar - ¾ cup (150 grams)
  • Wheat Flour - 1½ cup ( 180 grams)
  • Baking soda - 1 tsp
  • Vanilla essence -1 tsp
  • Oil - ½ cup (120 ml)
  • Cocoa Powder - ¼ cup (25 grams)
  • Chocolate chips as needed
  1. Preheat oven to 180 degree C.
  2. LIne a baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  3. Take all ingredients except wheat flour and baking soda in a blender and puree till smooth.
  4. Add wheat flour, baking soda and mix gently.
  5. Add choco chips and mix.
  6. Pour into baking pan and Top with more chocolate chips if needed.
  7. Bake for 30 to 40 mins.
  8. Remove and cool completely.
  9. Slice and serve.
1)Grind all the ingredients except wheat flour and baking soda in a blender. Dont grind once wheat flour is added else it will make the cake dense.
2)You can try adding flax egg instead of regular eggs. Mix 1 tblsp of flax seed powder with 3 tblsp of water. This is equal to 1 egg.
3)You can add any chopped nuts or dried fruits in this too.
