Recipe Source: Allrecipes.com. Delicious fluffy, soft white cake which uses only egg whites. This cake is so moist and fluffy, you can decorate it as you wish and enjoy.
  • All Purpose Flour / Maida - 1⅓ cup (160 grams)
  • Baking Powder - 2 tsp
  • Salt - ¼ tsp
  • Egg Whites - 2
  • Sugar - ¾ cup (150 grams)
  • Butter - ½ cup (100 grams)
  • Milk - ½ cup (120 ml)
  • Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp
  • Almond Essence - ½ tsp
  1. Preheat oven to 170 degree C. Grease a 8 inch round cake pan with oil and dust all over with flour. Coat on all sides and set aside.
  2. Sift flour, salt and baking powder and set aside.
  3. Take egg whites in a bowl and whip it gently. Add ¼ cup of sugar and continue beating till stiff peaks are formed. Set aside.
  4. Take butter, remaining ½ cup of sugar, vanilla and almond essence in a bowl and whisk well.
  5. Add in sifted ingredients and milk and fold gently.
  6. Now add in the beaten egg white in addition and fold gently.
  7. Spoon this into the baking pan and bake for 30 to 35 mins. Remove it from oven and cool it down.
  8. Invert it and decorate as you wish.
  9. Slice and serve.
