Eggless One Pot Chocolate Cake Recipe

There are so many eggless substitute for cakes..You can use yogurt, silken tofu, banana, apple sauce and many other things. This recipe is such a perfect recipe, it turns out to be wonderfully soft and really moist..

The cake is so simple to make and very easy to make. It is made using basic ingredients which you might already have on hand. You have to add everything in a bowl, then mix it up..You can add some tutti frutti, chocolate chips, nuts or anything as you like.Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..
Preparation Time : 10 mins
Baking Time : 40 mins
Serves: 6 to 9

Ingredients:

All Purpose Flour – 1 1/4 cup / 150 grams
Cocoa Powder – 1/2 cup / 50 grams
Sugar – 3/4 cup / 150 grams
Baking Soda / Cooking Soda – 1/2 tsp
Baking Powder – 1 tsp
Yogurt – 1/4 cup / 60 ml
Milk – 1/4 cup / 60 ml
Oil – 1/2 cup / 120 ml
Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
Instant Coffee Powder – 1 tsp
Hot Boiling Water – 3/4 cup / 180 ml


(My 1 cup measures 240 ml)


Method:

Preheat oven to 180 degree C. Grease a 18 cm round cake pan with oil and dust it with flour. Coat on all sides and set aside.

Now take all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Spoon this into the pan and bake for 35 to 40 mins.

Let it cool for 15 mins in cake pan and remove it from pan and cool completely.

Now you can decorate it with your favourite frosting.

Prepare a baking pan
Take flour in a bowl
add in baking soda
add in baking powder
add in cocoa powder
add in sugar
mix well
add in oil
add in yogurt
add in milk
add in vanilla
Add in instant coffee powder..i had some freshly brewed coffee on hand so i used that
now use a whisk to mix well
now add in hot water in this mix
mix well
fold gently
spoon this into the pan
bake till done
cool it down and set aside to cool down completely
i made a whipped cream frosting
frosted it well
decorate it with chocolate syrup and sprinkles
serve

    I made this cake yesterday and I am telling u I it was awesome.It came out so moist and soft .i dont have a oven so i made it in microwave.It was really delicious.thanks for the superb recipe…

    Why does my cake does not cook in the middle? I use convection.

      if your cake is getting colour on top and not cooking in the middle, place a sheet of foil on top and continue cooking

    Dear Aarthi, thank you for the wonderful recipe. I wish to know whether i can reduce the proportion of the ingredients for a smaller cake? like half all or make all 1/3 in equal reduction?
