Since i am dieting, i want to have some healthy sweets on hand to satisfy my sugar craving. I added organic jaggery powder in this which is a great substitute for regular sugar.
Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Baking Time : 10 to 12 mins
Makes : around 15 to 20 cookies

Ingredients:

Wheat Flour / Atta – 1 cup / 120 grams
Unsalted Soft Butter – 100 grams
Jaggery or Brown Sugar – 1/2 cup / 100 grams
Baking Soda / Cooking Soda – 1/2 tsp
Salt – a pinch
Milk – 1 to 2 tblspn
Chocolate Chips – 1/2 cup

(My 1 cup measure 240 ml)

Method:

Preheat oven to 180 degree C.

Take butter, jaggery in a bowl and beat using a electric beater till creamy.

Add in milk and mix well.

Now add in wheat flour, baking soda and salt and mix well.

Add in chocolate chips and mix well.

Take small portion of dough and shape it into a ball. Flatten it and arrange it in a foil or parchment lined pan.

Bake this for 10 to 12 mins

Remove it and cool it down, it will get hard as it cools.

Store it air tight container upto a week and enjoy with a cup of milk..

its sad to see that you have used a word called "Diet"…its completely contradicting to your intake….if you are on a diet…you should eat only "UNPROCESED FOOD" .. and do regular excercises….
eating wheat/jaggery can NEVER substitute healthy food and MY GOODNESS Choc chips!!!! you will have to run for 10kms to burn that away for the day!!!

My son loves choco chip cookies and looking at the ingredients at the back of the store bought ones, decided to give it a try. And this recipe works like a charm… Me n my son both luv crisp cookies and I added slightly more milk and baked for 3 extra minutes and it turned out so well.. tks a lot… Planning to make it with raagi instead of wheat next time. Any tips to be followed??
