FOR MORE BABY FOOD RECIPES, CLICK HERE..

Maha is started her 11th month now. I am looking for new recipes and new healthy foods to include in her diet. I didn't start on cow's milk yet. I should wait for one more month to include that in her diet. This is one amazing health powder which i made and it was such a healthy one. I added only badam and cashews in this, along with that i added roasted gram dal and dry ginger which are so healthy for your babies. I started giving this powder only after 10 months. I will share another version of dry fruit powder which is good for babies after 1 year.

If you want to make this for older babies. just add some pista, raisans, walnuts, dates to make it more healthy.

    Ingredients for Healthy Nuts Powder

    • Roasted Gram Dal / Pottu Kadalai / Pori kadalai - 1 cup
    • Cashews - ½ cup
    • Badam / Almonds - ½ cup
    • Dry Ginger - 2 inch piece or 2 tsp of powdered one
    Pin

This is great as a daily health booster for your babies. You can add a spoonful of this in your babies porridge when you cook it and feed her. This is like magic and maha loves it so much. I add this to my ragi porridge, banana porridge and a new recipe which i will share soon. You can infact add this whatever you make. Just for a idea, check out my baby recipes.

      Hi Aarati,
      very healthy recipe..
I am regular follower of your blog.My son is 13 months old. I am preparing dry fruit powder at home from 3-4 months.
I am adding almonds, pista, cashew , kesar , nutmeg (1-1.5 tea spoon for 100-150gm qty of each nut) , walnut , dry date in that.
I am adding 1 tsp of powder to his 500ml milk in the morning and boil it for some time. I have to sieve this milk as powder is not so fine and he tries to omit if get particles of powder in milk. I am using this boiled milk for complete day, sometimes left over in next morning's porridge. Is this a correct way to use .. I can not add this in porridge as he don’t swallow it. Also if I am giving it only through the milk then how much should be quantity?? If adding turmeric will help?? as many times he suffers from cough.

@Anonymousyou can alter the quantity but dont over grind it, else it will leach out oil. And roasting helps to make it into a fine pwder

Hi, It was a nice post. But I have a doubt. Do we need to remove the skin of almonds ? If yes, when do we remove ? Before dry roasting them or after ?

      Hi aarthi,
I have made dry fruits powder with almonds, walnuts, cashews and pista. I have made this as fine powder but it's not dissolving in milk. My baby is not liking the tiny crystals. What to do and can I add any other pulse so I can use like commercial health drinks which dissolves in milk completely..
      Thanks

      Hi Aarthi,
I made this nuts powder today. But I made it using our regular pottu kadalai (the one we use for making Coconut chutney)instead of bhuna chana. Is it fine to use? Also I mistakenly over grinded it and it has turned sticky. Can I still use it?
      Please reply.
      Thank you.
