    Its been a while since i shared any baby food recipes. Now i have started feeding mahi solids, i am trying more health powder recipes for babies. I have made quite a few recipes, but haven't shared it so far because of christmas. Now it is over, i thought of sharing it.

    This recipe is a healthy protein cereal mix for baby. It has poha and roasted gram dal which helps in weight gaining in babies. Poha cereal is rich in protein and carb. You can feed this to babies above 7 months.

    This is a instant cereal powder, so it is great for travel.

    For making this cereal instant, just add some hot water and mix well. It will thicken, adjust water according to your liking. For making sweet porridge, add some jaggery syrup to it. But mahima is not a fan of sweet stuffs, so i used salt and ghee.

    Ingredients
      

    For Cereal Powder:

    • Red Rice Poha / Aval - 1 cup
    • Roasted Gram Dal / Pottu Kadalai - ½ cup

    For Porridge:

    • Poha Cereal Powder - 2 tblsp
    • Water - ½ cup
    • Salt to taste
    • Ghee - 1 tsp

    Instructions
     

    • Take poha in a dry pan and roast till golden. Take it in a blender.
    • Roast gram dal till golden. Add it to blender.
    • Powder fine.
    • Store in a air tight container.
    • Now make the porridge, take some powder in a sauce pan, add water and cook till it thickens.
    • Add salt and ghee and mix well.
    • Feed your baby.
