Jeera Chicken Recipe – Cumin Chicken Recipe

Jeera chicken is one of the most delicious lipsmacking chicken recipe. It is good on its own or as a side for rice or roti.

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 30 mins
Serves: 4


Ingredients:

Oil – 3 tblspn
Ghee – 2 tblspn
Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam – 1 tblspn
Onion – 2 large sliced thinly
Green Chillies – 2 slit
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tblspn
Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 tblspn
Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
Cumin Powder – 2 tsp
Garam Masala Powder – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Boneless Chicken – 500 grams cut into strips
Water – 1/2 cup
Lemon Juice as needed

Method:

Heat oil and ghee in a nonstick pan. Add cumin and let them sizzle.

Add in onions, chillies and cook till golden.

Add in ginger garlic paste and mix well.

Add in spice powders and mix well.

Add in chicken, salt and toss well. Add in water, cover and simmer for 10 to 15 mins.

Now open the lid and increase the heat and dry the chicken.

Once the chicken is dried up, add lemon juice and toss well.

Serve.

cover and cook on low heat for 10 mins
done
increase the heat and dry up the chicken
done
add lemon juice and mix well
Serve
