I got so many request for posting some easy rice preparation..So I thought of trying new rice dishes…I love cumin seeds in anything..It has a lovely earthy flavour which I always adore. This is a plain, simple, easy, elegant rice dish that goes pretty well with any side dish.I served this with chicken manchurian..It goes well with my gobi manchurian and paneer butter masala too.

The flavour for this dish comes from cumin seeds. If you have some shahi jeera which is also known as black cumin, you can add that too and You could always fry a tsp of cumin in ghee and add in the last, this enhances the cumin flavour..So please try this dish and let me know what you think..

Preparation Time : 5 mins
Cooking Time : 30 mins
Serves : 2 to 3

Ingredients:
Basmati Rice – 1 cup
Carrot – 1 medium size chopped
Peas – 1/2 cup ( i used frozen)

Yes Aarthi. Frying cumin seeds in ghee enhances the flavor. This rice looks really good with the addition of carrot and peas.
