Choosing one favourite among hundreds is very tough Aarthi.

However if I still have to, the number one spot in my list goes to your "Dindigul Thalapakkati Biryani". I have tried it at least a dozen times so far and it's my go to recipe whenever guests come over. Compliments never cease whenever I cook this biryani and I have shared it with umpteen number of people so far. In fact many of my friends and my family started following your blog after I shared this wonderful recipe with them.

Thank you Aarthi for your wonderful blog and the inspiration you provide.

Hmmm.. How do I choose one favorite recipe amongst thousands? It is really difficult... But what I like best about your blog is you treat complicated and simple recipes the same way, break it down into simple steos. Pictorial teaching that teaches novices like me. Coming back to what my favorite recipe, I would vote for neyyi biscuit. It brought back a deluge of nostalgia and fond memories in each bite. Thank you for keeping me up with new recipes and inspiring to try new combinations. Wishing you with more success and better food! 🙂

HI I am Sruthy from Bangalore.. Congrats on your 2000th post.. I started following you like 6 months back and since then there is no turning back.. Right from sambhar to roast chicken I have been following only your recipes. Needless to say, I have become one of the best cook in my whole family. My little sister who hates my mom's cooking, started loving my cooking and wants me to leave my job and come back home just to cook for her. Your website is responsible for this 🙂 I have told all my friends and cousins about your website and I'm sure they are following you religiously now since I did all the marketing 🙂 I won't be able to list all the recipes that I follow from your blog since its pretty much EVERYTHING.. But to name a few spinach scrambled eggs, thai chicken roast, whole baked chicken, potato croquettes, chicken croquettes, bread pudding ( ended up being my favorite), village style fish curry, madurai kari dosa and so many more.. I think I have to list all the recipes.. Unfortunately I don't have an account in FB/Twitter/Instagram/Google plus. But I do have subscribed to your youtube cooking channel. Just wanted to drop by and offer my hearty wishes. Keep Rocking...!!

      Hi Aarthi,

First of all, congratulations on such a great milestone. It's a wonderful moment, however, for me and many of your followers who have been referring to your blog for so many dishes, it's not a surprise. Way to go!
Selecting one recipe out of so many that I have tried from your blog is tough (frankly, I don't think I can even remember all of them, there are so many!) But my favourite cooking experience of all those is "Eggless Doughnuts with Chocolate Glaze". It is surely special for two reasons. Firstly, it's a yeast recipe and I have been super scared of that beast! But thanks to your no-fail recipe, I managed to make it perfectly every time. Secondly, I made it with my 5 year old daughter and niece who love doughnuts. They loved rolling the dough, cutting the doughnuts out of it. In fact, they made the chocolate glaze completely on their own while I told them the recipe. They enjoyed decorating the doughnuts and then ate those yummy doughnuts in no time. That's my favourite of all recipes. Time to bond with my kids while we laughed and talked and cooked it up.
Thanks for all your effort in writing up recipes in such easy to follow way. Stay amazing, stay blessed.

The best recipe would be chilly potatoes. I haven't tasted a tastier dish which goes well with chappati, roti etc as well as with fried rice. It is so simple to make and has a superb taste.
Apart from that, thank you Aarthi for putting in your time and effort for this. Beginners really benefit from your site. And to readers - have no second thoughts about contacting her for any doubt (even if it is not related to a recipe which is already there in blog). She will giveyou a prompt reply and help you out. This I can assure you from my own experience. Good job Aarthi.:)

Hey aarthi, hope you are doing well and your two year old is hyper active.
I first started visiting your blog to find recipes when I got married and was in need of a one stop website for all my cooking needs. I visit your website on a daily basis. I have made many breads, vada pav. The best was the chocolate mousse cake which was a hit on my Hubby's bday. U have also followed many of your baby food recipes as I have a toddler of my own who is two. I have also mailed you a few times but no reply. Your stage by stage demonstration is the best an incomparable to any other website. The taste has been spot on. Your ice creams esp chocolate ice cream is awesome . my mom n me being Chocoholics couldn't resist making it once and stopping. I make your dragon chicken and chicken 65 atleast once a month. I really wonder how u have such time with a 2yr old. I could go on and on but I'll restrict myself now. All the very best and wishing you grow leaps and bounds. Following you all the way thru .

Congratulations Aarthi on completion of 2000 posts. There are so many recipes I have tried from each category and loved from your website that it is difficult to select just one. The microwave recipes, lunch menu ideas, breakfast recipes, rice recipes, chicken recipes etc, they all are so good and easy to make. With the help of your pictorial step by step representation of recipes, any novice can become a chef 😀 Choosing one recipe would be like choosing the best flower from a beautiful garden 🙂 but being a die-hard chicken fan, I would say the best recipe of the ones I have tried would be ' Chinese Style Pepper Chicken'. It was simply out of this world.
      https://www.yummytummyaarthi.com/2013/03/chinese-style-pepper-chicken.html
Also tried the gravy version as below and that was great too
      https://www.yummytummyaarthi.com/2011/03/chilli-chicken.html
Made the restaurant style egg fried rice to go with the chilli chicken. DIVINE combination 🙂
      https://www.yummytummyaarthi.com/2014/09/restaurant-style-egg-fried-rice-recipe.html
We have stopped ordering Chinese from outside now. That says it all 🙂

Hello Aarthi. First, Congrats for your great success. I dun think you will believe me. By 2012, I was greatly depressed due to some family and college issues. And your blog came as a blessing for me. You helped me to get a diversion. I used to try 3 or 2 dishes a day, enjoy them with my family. And no sooner Cooking came as a passion for me. I have tried most of your dishes in my home, office, in-laws, pot-lucks, everything and bagged the title of perfect home maker. Thanks so much aarthi. 🙂 🙂 🙂 Now I am happily married and a frequent visitor of your blog for easy snacks and happy dinners. Way to go 🙂 🙂 🙂

If I had an argument with my dad, and he left home with anger, I make sure that I welcome him with this. So the argument would be over once for all. Thank you aarthi 🙂

We bake at home since ages at least 2 generations for sure even before any such social media existed. These days I bake w/o oil/butter & eggs keeping everyone at home in mind. Being a recent member of #HBG, I like your recipes which are excellent to prepare in jiffy. And, I see you too prepare cakes in microwave as I do since my OTG is packed at one corner due to frequent shifting.

Hi aarthi. I have silently followed your blog every single day including weekends for many years now.. long back when it was a blogger blog and you were yet to get your own domain... you have made me a better cook and my favourite recipe of yours would be the green vegetable biriyani. Even though I am a vegetarian I go through your non veg recipes too because I really feel your passion for food and blogging shines through each post and I love to see your step to step pictures even for non veg dishes that I would never cook... I have made many baking recipes from your blog . My family really appreciates the domino's garlic bread and pizza and the garlic bread rolls very much... my heart felt congratulations for reaching this milestone. I know how much of effort and dedication it takes to get here . It has helped many people including me. I always recommend your site to people who ask me recipes. Also on a side note, with work I have travelled to various parts of the world and I must say I met a lady in saudi Arabia who mentioned she is a fan of yours too .. imagine my surprise when I told her I follow you every single day too... you have no idea how much your blog means to me. When I want to make any special recipe I just google, check various blogs and pick one recipe. I visited your blog when I am searching for Restaurant style Paneer Chilli recipe, my 5 year old likes paneer chilli very much, and my some attempts failed to make similar recipe like restaurant and I don't wanted him to eat outside food so tried your recipe and viola he liked it. Now every Friday my lunch menu is fixed. Yes its your Paneer Chilli recipe. Really thanks for the recipe.

i just love the desserts u post! ive tried as many as i can. my favorite one among them is the RED VELVET CAKE RECIPE.
i made it for my husband when he returned from abroad. initially he thot it was a chocolate cake cz it was covered with the icing..but.....THE LOOK ON HIS FACE the moment he cut it and realised the flavour....GOOD LORD! it almost resembled the expression he had when he saw me WALKING DOWN THE AISLE AS HIS BRIDE 2 years ago...
you made it possible for me to relive tht moment! Thank you so much....Much Love to you and your so very contagious passion! <3

Though am a home baker, I have very little knowledge about everyday cooking. And yours is the go-to blog all the time...
Normally we search recipe with the name of the dishes. But my search starts with ur blog name with the Nninname of the dish. Have tried many recipes from your blog n yet to try many more. My favourite is the Butter chicken masala n paneer tikka.
I wonder three things about u every time I see a post from you.
      1. The first Wil be 'how don u get so much time to try out dishes and write post too...
      2. How do u make yummy dishes from simple supplies
      3. Living down south, how do u manage to find supplies (am from tuty. So I know the difficulty)

And finally, thank u for being so generous to share your recipes n thank u for the giveaway too...

Hi arti..first of all, hearty congratulations on your successful journey, a journey lot of us have been a part of in happiness, in sadness or in times of need. In happiness because you are the first person I think of when I want to make something special for my family, sadness because when other recipes never work for me and I always know I should have just referred ur blogs and in times of need is all the time when the kids need a quick fix, or sudden guests at home or just a bad day at the kitchen, I just have to check ur blog and I know I will find my answers to all my queries. From a non cooking person I have tired so many of ur recipes coz its so easy to follow and turns out just yummm..i I have tried ur cooker cake recipes and its a great hit with the kids and the family. Thank you for being so accessible to us and its almost like you are the Google to my cooking queries. All the very best and may u continue to be a blessing in all our lives ..God bless

Hi, my name is Christina and I am a Filipino married to an Indian. I am currently residing in Chennai.

Before marriage, I've never tried Indian food and if not for my husband I would have never ever tried it. When I moved to India, adjusting to Indian food is difficult. Not only my taste palette is different, we also used to stay in a joint family with 20+ gujarati family members. I never learned how to cook because everything is taken care for me.

Fast forward (6 years later)... Me and my husband moved separately. The problem, I dont know how to cook. How will I be able to prove to my in-laws that I can take care of their precious child. I first saw yummy tummy on facebook via a friend's post and I thought why not try some of the recipe. And to be honest, you saved my life. Yummy tummy made my life easier. My husband is gujarati but lived his life in Chennai. So whether it is a north or south indian dish... I can cook it all well. All I have to do is login to facebook and search your page OR type into google the "name of the dish + yummy tummy.

So far, paneer butter masala, dal makhani, potato curry is always on my list. Restaurant style chilli paneer is next as it compliments my east asian nature. Next on my list is to try your carrot cake. Good luck to me

If you read this, a VERY BIG thanks to you. Hope you'll keep adding more recipes for me and others.to try.

      Best Regards!

This post I do share very happily not as an entry but as an opportunity to share the beautiful moment i'd 3 yrs before..
There were many many Ive tried, tasted, shared most of all the recipes of Yummy Tummy & was appreciated, but I chose this post on 16 Aug 2013 I shared in FB for few reasons that were very close to heart.

One of it, I would like 2 share with you is, this was the first recipe that got me a asset moment to be saved to heart, That moment when my Amma for the first time, she was looking me very proudly after tasting it
and said 2 my dad n family that he has got the real kitchen hands n' love towards the taste buds.. Neva eva it has happened and no one would hav expected me to do it. It was a Bliss <3 moment. From then on these 3 yrs Ive neva stopped
on the love for cuisines. It takes a lot for a guy like me to turn n be looked proud n' awesome n' wonderful n' wow moments! It happened n' Ive to route all the thnks to Yummy Tummy & 4 You too my dear sissy Aarthi. 🙂

Jus don wit d ‪#‎Keralan‬ Style Fish Fry ~ Red Snapper (‪#‎Sankara‬) for Lunch. Came out so tasty tat I gotta thank my dear friend Aarthi Satheesh 4 her wonderful recipe..!

      The Recipe :-
      Ingrediants:
Red Snapper fillets - 4 piece / Coconut oil-5 tblspn

      First Marinate:
      Turmeric powder-1 tsp / Lemon juice-2 tsp / Salt –1 tsp

      Second Marinate:
Red chilli powder-1 tblspn / Ginger Garlic Paste-1 tblspn / Coriander powder-1 tblspn / Pepper-1 tsp / Salt to taste
      Lemon juice-2 tblspn

      Method:
~Take the fish fillets and marinate it with salt, turmeric and lemon juice.
~In a mixing bowl mix chilli powder, coriander powder, ginger garlic paste, pepper, salt and lemon juice together and form a thick paste..If it is too thick you can add a little water to this..
~Now apply this paste to the marinating fish fillets and let it rest for 30 min.
~Heat coconut oil in a tawa and fry the fish on both sides till golden and completely cooked through.
~Garnish it with onion rings and lemon juice..
      And now its really Yummy

I have tried a lot of your recipes which are very easy to understand and try. The best one I would say is the 1 minute microwave lava cake which was so heavenly. I never thought a lava cake could be done so easily in 1 minute. That was so yummy. You are totally awesome keep going.

      Dear Aarthi,

Congratulations to your 2000th post. Very glad to see you flying with colors.

I remember the posts in 2011 were good start and the way through 2012 and 2013, after your marriage and baby, you were still passionate and carrying on the blog with so much responsibility. I love the step by step pic demo which convey things very easily.. 🙂

I am a vegetarian and my husband is a non-veg. So Yummy tummy was a good friend to guide me in recipes. My husband likes chicken so much and the most favourite recipe of him is Chicken Salna, chettinad chicken curry, chicken dum biriyani. We tried so many times and yesterday night,we made your chicken salna..

I was always inspired by lot of your baking arts, especially Barbie cake. I tried the Plain vannila cake and nuts cookies.they were delicious.
I have tried your different chutneys like onion garlic chutney, kara chutney.
Curries from paneer, biriyanis, bread pizza, sev and lot more..

Lastly I wanted to mention about the baby foods which were very helpful for me wen my daughter was not introduced to rice. I have tried the apple oats poridge, ragi powder, purees of veggies and fruits.

I have recommended your recipes to few of my friends and relatives and they enjoy them too.

Keep up the good job and continue posting.. Congratulations again.

      Hi Aarthi,
I am really happy as though I achieved a big one. As I am your regular follower of u and ur blog from 2013, I will be trying most of the dishes when ever you post. some of my fav are French toast, Mysorepa(When I was struggling with, your recipe gave a good way), chettinad chicken gravy etc etc. I have seen you winning in pudhuyugam channel and was so happy.
Also, as I am having a baby as Maha age, I am also following your other blog http://mahamylife.blogspot.in/ and keeping up the food culture for my son too.

Thanks and keep up your good work.
