Lemon Honey Chicken Recipe / Baked Lemon Chicken Recipe / Baked Honey Chicken Recipe

Lemon & Honey, some may think honey in a chicken, thats weird. but i am telling you, it is not at all weird, its heavenly. In this recipe honey doesn’t give overall sweetness like it gives to pastries and cakes. It somehow cuts the tanginess of the lemon and balances the whole lot. It also helps the chicken go wonderfully caramalize and makes it finger licking good. I hope you got my point..

Me and my hubby shared this chicken and it was like love at first bite (sight). We finished the whole lot in minutes and it was delicious. One thing to mention, this chicken dish can take lots of spiciness in it, because of the lemon and honey, so adjust it accordingly. Please please try it immediately and let me know how it turned out for you..

Preparation Time: 10 mins
Marinating Time : Ovenight or 2 hours
Baking Time : 1 hour
Serves : 2

Ingredients:

Mix all the ingredients except chicken in a bowl.
Take chicken legs and make deep slashes in it. Now place it in the marinate and leave it overnight or a good couple of hours.

Now place it in a baking sheet and bake for 10 mins.Remove it and flip over. Bake again for 5 mins.Reduce the oven temp to 150 degree C.

@deepalordThis cannot be made properly in tawa, because since it has honey it can burn easily. If you want to make, just place it in hot grill pan or tawa, and cook on a very low heat till it is caramelized.

    Hi Aarti
The best recipe. I loved the caramelized chicken. I don't like honey but even though I used half the amount of honey, the flavour was excellent. God Bless..

Hi Aarthi, The recipe looks really easy to try however I am struggling with using my new OTG (Morphy Richards 52RCSS – http://amzn.to/1QsF8wN which has max temperature 230 degree C). Can you please elaborate on the mode, temperature and timing of the OTG for this chicken. Thanks
