We made this today. My husband helped me to chop the veggies and then, when the oats were cooking, he made your chilli & garlic chutney. I was sceptical at first, because I thought: what? Oats with veggies for dinner? But it was delicious. The upma looked a little watery, so I removed the lid at the end, so that the water would evaporate and the oats would fluff up.
