    Pakoda Kuzhambu Recipe

    Ingredients
      

    • Coconut Oil - 2 tblsp
    • Fennel Seeds / Sombu / Saunf - 1 tsp
    • Cinnamon / Pattai - 1 small piece
    • Cardamom / Yelakai - 3
    • Cloves / Krambu - 3
    • Onion - 1 large chopped finely
    • Tomato - 2 chopped finely
    • Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tblsp
    • Chilli Powder - 1 tblsp
    • Garam Masala Powder - 1 tblsp
    • Cumin powder - 1 tsp
    • Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
    • Coriander Powder - 1 tblsp
    • Salt to taste
    • Pakoda - 200 grams

    FOR GRINDING:

    • Coconut - ½ cup
    • Roasted Gram Dal / Pori Kadalai - 2 tblsp
    • Fennel Seeds / Sombu - 1 tsp

    Instructions
     

    • Grind ingredients given to a smooth paste.
    • Heat oil in a pan. Add in whole spices and let them sizzle.
    • Add in onions and saute till golden.
    • Add in ginger garlic paste and saute for a min.
    • Add in tomato and cook till mushy.
    • Add spice powders and salt. Mix well.
    • Add in water and boil it,
    • Add in coconut masala and mix well.
    • Add pakoda and mix well.
    • Cover and simmer for 5 mins.
    • Serve.
