Peanut Butter & Banana Sandwich Recipe

You all know how much i love nigella lawson, i have never missed her single show. And i have tried quite a few of her recipes as well. You can check them here.This is one recipe which is from her show nigella bites i guess. Ever since i was in love with this sandwich and i make them quite often.

I had my batch of peanut butter which i made few weeks back calling my name to use it. So i decided to make this sandwich and a cake using that, to my surprise it turned out so yummy..
Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..
Preparation Time : 5 mins
Cooking Time : 2 mins
Makes : 1 sandwich

Ingredients:

Bread Slices – 2 ( I used wheat)
Ripe Banana – 1
Peanut Butter – 2 tblspn (RECIPE HERE)
Butter – 1 tblspn

Method:

Mash up a banana and set aside.

Spread peanut butter on both the bread slices,  scoop the banana over it. cover with other slice.

Heat some butter, place the bread over it, cook till golden.

Remove it and slice into wedges

Serve.

Pictorial:
You need bread ( i used wheat), peanut butter and
 a ripe banana
start by slicing the banana into a bowl
use a fork to mash it up, i like it to be chunky
take a bread slice
 I used my homemade peanut butter, so yummy
spread it on both side
like this
scoop the bananas over one slice
spread it out
cover with other slice
press gently
melt some butter
place the bread over it 
flip over and cook till golden
remove to a board
cut into diagnols
serve

    Hi Aarthi,

    Tried this out today.. had all the ingredients in hand and as soon as I saw this, I immediately tried… Indeed it was one awsome breakfast I had… It is healthy, it is rich, and fulfilling… I loved eat and the best part of it is you could eat this tasty sandwich guilt-free!!!. Love how you bring out such variety stuff.
