    This recipe is totally new to me, i have never heard about it until a viewer asked for the recipe. When i searched for this recipe, i came to know that this recipe is my favourite..I have tried it from haldirams namkeens range. I love them so much.I love their unique spice mix and the flavour of chat masala in this.

    So yesterday i asked hubby to take me to supermarket. I looked for the ingredients list in their packet and took a note of it..I also found this cute little bucket in their utensil section. I got one and decided to take picture in them..

    I made this today and it came out pretty good. I love to add lots of nuts and raisans in this, which makes this more tasty..I hope you will love this and let me know how it turned out for you..

    Preparation Time : 5 mins
    Cooking Time : 15 mins

    Ingredients:
    Poha / Aval / Flattened Rice - 3 cups
    Cashewnuts - ¼ cup
    Almonds / Badam - ¼ cup
    Roasted Gram Dal / Pori Kadalai - ¼ cup
    Peanuts - ¼ cup
    Raisans / Kishmish - ¼ cup
    Oil for Deep Frying

    For Spice Mix:
    Oil - 1 tblspn
    Mustard Seeds / Kaduku - 1 tsp
    Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam - 1 tsp
    Curry Leaves a handful
    Sesame Seeds - 2 tblspn
    Asafoetida / Hing / Kaya podi - a pinch
    Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
    Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
    White Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
    Cumin Powder - 1 tsp
    Chat Masala Powder - 2 tsp
    Salt to taste
    Sugar - 1 tblspn
    Method:
    Heat oil for deep frying. Drop poha in hot oil, fry for a min. Drain and set aside.
    In the same oil add cashews, peanuts, badam, roasted gram dal and fry till golden. Drain and add it to the poha.
    Now fry some raisan in the same oil for 30 sec. Drain and add it over the poha. Set this aside.
    Now drain off all the oil and reserve 1 tblspn of oil.
    Add in mustard, cumin, asafoetida and curry leaves, fry till the curry leaves turn crispy.
    Now add in sesame seeds and roast for a min.
    Add in all the other ingredients given in the spice mix list and saute for 10 sec.
    Add in the fried things and mix well with the spices.
    Fry this for couple of mins.
    Turn off the heat and let it cool down.
    Store this in a air tight container for a week.

    fry them for few seconds and add it over poha mix

    Now drain off remaining oil, keep just a tblspn of oil

    add in mustard and cumin seeds

    add a touch of asafoetida

    add in some curry leaves

    sprinkle some sesame seeds in

    fry till golden

    Add in the spice powders

    add some salt and sugar

    In goes a good amount of chat masala

    mix that for few sec

    add in all the fried things in

    toss well

    let everything get coated in the spice mix
