Summer is here. It is absolutely crucial to feed as much liquid food to your baby either as water or in form of juices. There are certain fruits which you should avoid for babies and certain fruits can be given for them. This series gives an idea about what fruit juice you can feed your baby and the best way to juice it. I hope it will help you.

I am starting with the most health packed fruit which is pomegranate, It cures digestive problems in babies, intestinal worms, controls fevers and has lots of liver protection problems. You can refer more about their properties here.

Things to remember before feeding baby:

1) No seeds of this should be given for babies. Only juice must be fed.

2)Make sure you dont grind the white skin of the pomegrnate. Remove all of them and grind only the seeds of pomegranate so the juice will be sweet.

3)If your juice is not that sweet, you can add some sweetner to it.

4)Dont feed this at night, morning and afternoon is the good time to feed juice for baby.

5)This wont cause gas problems or constipation in babies.

How to introduce solid food to your baby:

How to sterilize baby feeding bowls:

Start
by sterilizing the bowls and spoons which you are going to feed your
baby. Take the bowl and spoon in a large saucepan, cover it with water
and bring them to a boil. Boil it rapidly for 5 mins. Now you can turn
the heat off and leave them stay in the hot water till use.

How to make Pomegranate Juice:

Take a firm fresh pomegrnate. Make sure the pomegranate seeds are not sour, it should be sweet.

Cut them open. Take a wooden spoon or a ladle. Use the back of it it bash the pomegranate to get all the seeds out.

Now take the seeds alone in a blender and puree them.

Place a strainer over a bowl. Pour the puree over it and press with a spoon to get as much juice as possible.

Now pour the juice in a sipper or feeding bottle and feed your baby.

Hey, thanks for sharing this amazing recipe… I used to give all fruit juices to my daughter when she was a baby. She especially loved pomegranate juice.. I came across this post and those memories came rushing back to me. She is 5 yrs old now and she still loves this juice as much as before. I usually buy KDD harvest’s pomegranate juice for her and keep it in the fridge. She rushes back from school and directly goes to the refrigerator looking for this juice 😀 I will surely try making the juice your way and I am sure she will love it 😀

Hey good recipe and easy to make..I usually make most of the juices at home only for my kids. I tried KDD's flavors too and my kids seem to love it. but i think it is best to make juice at home. I will try this style too for pomegranate juice…it seems to be pretty simple and quick!

Hi.Nice one. Juice is not recommended for babies until 8 months. Also we shouldn't provide juices in bottles. Give juices to babies who can have from cup.
