This is one of the simple snack which you can make for your kids..So easy to make and taste so yummy. I used the same dough which i used for my Potato smiley. And the taste was delicious, crunchy and cheesy..

The outer crust is made with oats and it gave a nice crunchy effect to the popcorn, kids will love it for sure..You can make a big batch of them and just before frying you can freeze them in a tray, once they are frozen, collect them in a container and stick in the freezer. This way you can fry them whenever you need them..

Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..

    Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 1 to 2 min per batch + 25 mins to cooking potatoes
    Makes : 20 to 25

    Ingredients:
    Potato - 1 large boiled
Cheese - 2 tblspn grated (I used parmesan, you can use any)
    Salt to taste
Chilli powder / Pepper powder - ½ tsp
    Oregano - ½ tsp (optional)
Cornflour / Cornstarch - 2 to 3 tblspn or more as needed
    Oil for Deep frying
Oats - ½ cup ( I used seasoned flavoured oats)
All Purpose Flour / Maida - 2 to 3 tblspn
Water - ¼ cup or as needed

    Method:
Take boiled potatoes and grate them. Now take them in a bowl along with all the other ingredients except cornflour and oil.
    Mix this really well.
Now add in cornflour and mix well. Shape it into dough.
Put this dough in fridge and let it rest and chill for 1 hour.
Now divide the dough into small equal portions. Shape each portion into a smooth ball.

Now mix flour with water to a runny paste, set aside. Take oats in a blender and coarsely ground them, set aside.

Take a ball, dip it in the flour batter and coat in oats. Arrange it in a plate and chill for 30 mins or so.

Heat oil for deep frying. Drop the balls in hot oil and fry till it is crispy.

    Drain and serve.
