Ingredients:
Potatoes – 5 small cooked, peeled and mashed roughly
Oil – 1 tblspn
Mustard Seeds / Kaduku – 1 tsp
Urad dal / Ulundu Paruppu – 1 tsp
Chana Dal / Kadalai Paruppu – 1 tsp
Asafoetida / Hing / Kaya Podi a pinch
Curry Leaves a sprig
Onion – 1 medium size sliced thinly
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
Green Chilli – 3 chopped
Tomato – 1 chopped roughly
Besan / Gram Flour / Kadalai mavu – 2 tblspn
Water as needed
Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Coriander Leaves – 3 tblspn finely chopped
Method:
Heat oil in a pan, add in the seasoning ingredients and let them sizzle.
Add in onions and green chillies, saute till it gets soft.
Add in ginger garlic paste and saute for a min.
Add in salt and turmeric powder. Mix well.
Add in besan and mix well. Fry for a min.
Add in tomatoes and toss well for a min.
Add in water and mix well. Add in potatoes and mix well.
Bring it to a boil and simmer for few mins.
Add in coriander leaves and mix well. Serve.
